this WS really made me appreciate what an awesome stadium KC has. Would definitely go there if I had the chance.

I watched a game there a few years back right before the score board Reno. Was nice.

I went to a lot of games there from 1996-2001. It had more character before the remodel. It featured the fountains more. Now it looks more cookie cutter.

Tigers announcers are always saying how it's the nicest park they visit.
ugh, fox pregame showing 2002.....
Urghhh...had to turn the game off. The pure awkwardness of the social interactions between that G-Unit wannabe, black dude strutin' his Giants gear behind the plate and the surrounding insecure, rich, white K.C. fans unsure of how to deal with him was just too much...(facepalm)...

Looking at it objectively, I got to think the Royals are favorites to win

They are a complete team top to bottom with an absolutely filthy bullpen

But they are going against the magical Giants

You could argue that this royals team is the worst team in terms of talent as far as world series opponents go. (Rangers, tigers, respectively) That's saying something because the Royals got Talent.

It's going to come down to the starters and I thinks that's where the giants have the edge, but the Royals over all seems like the better team on paper

better roster doesn't equal winner, if so this WS would be Angels-Dodgers. Experience wins out in these playoffs more often than not and that's where the Giants flat out own the Royals. I said it in the Giants' thread and I'll say it here, I have no doubt the Giants are gonna win the WS.

World Series Game 1 Rating: 8.0, Lowest in MLB History

You realize Royals/Cards wouldve been just as bad, right? The Bay Area has a market of over 7 million people. This is about the east coast not having a team involved.

Three Giants fans now that have responded "Wouldn't be different w/ the Cardinals"

Lol, we're not talking about the Cardinals. We're talking about the Giants. They own the record and will likely beat it this year. Not much exciting about the Giants if you aren't a fan of the team. They win, sure, but it won't get people to want to watch. Most watching this WS (outside of SF) are only watching because of the Royals historic run.
Didn't see an update to the ratings pay so figured I would help. Game 7 got a 25.2 rating with over 52 million viewers. 2 ND most watched baseball game in 10 years.

Pretty convenient that you left out the rest though....

But I'm sure you don't care about that either.

I'm curious, you mentioned it was the 2nd most watched. What was the most watched game?

lol, you're so obviously bitter it's hilarious. No Giants fans care about the ratings. We care about the championship. Rubber only brought it up because you were so gung-ho on defacing this series since your precious Cards got rolled over by our dynasty.

Oh here we go again. He bumped my post and I responded. Rubber and I are f**king around. STFU already.

That and he still can't read. I said I heard it on the radio, I didn't read an article. Lol. MLB radio was happy because baseball ratings were so high, especially since it was opening night of basketball in Chicago and NY.
