Your 2014-2015 WORLD CHAMPION Golden State Warriors.

Great article on Jason Richardson:

Blew his mind. Every time Richardson has one of those Golden State experiences, every time he marinates on how beloved he is by Warriors fans, his emotions are bombarded by appreciation. And a little confusion.

"I don't understand it," Richard said in a phone interview Thursday. "It amazes me. It really does. Why me? I didn't win many games. I wasn't an All-Star. I never guided them to the promised land. But Warriors fans have always shown me incredible love. Even when I was on other teams ... So much love. So much."

Can Klay Thompson become the consistent super star player that many profess him to be? The were showing some of the playoff and championship series games this weekend, and the dude was virtually non existent. They truly won the championship despite him, not because of him. Here is what I think he needs to be working on.

  1. Look to attack the rim more. Get some easy points, and to the line more. He has the size and athletic ability to finish at the rim.
  2. Do some of those Steph Curry dribbling drills in the off season. He seems to get the ball stripped way too easy in traffic.
  3. His rep for a lock down defender took a hit in the playoff run IMO. Seems like he got worked on that end repeatedly (albeit against some of the best talent in the NBA), and seemed to always be in foul trouble. The one game he really started fast offensively (Houston game 1) he had to sit with two fouls early when he fouled Howard down low. There are good fouls and bad fouls, that was a bad foul.
  4. Iguadala needs to figure out how to get past the free throw line mental block. OK, wrong post but still ... no excuse. Maybe he should move into it and shoot a jumper, because his 3 pt % is higher than his FT%

Thompson will need to step up to the next level this year, because there is no way that Curry does not face double teams and command extra attention all year long. YO have to make teams pay for that strategy.

With the Niners season being a lost cause before it's even October, those 30 days can't pass fast enough.

This. Can't wait for Warriors basketball to start. Will make the 2015 Niners a distant memory.

I like him, but think he's just going to end up costing too much to be solely a 5th or 6th option. Can't see him staying here sadly.

He said at media day extension talks are going well. I think the deal will get done.

Funny, I can't see us letting him go. Our cap situation is in ridiculously good shape, and the cap is about to skyrocket.

The only way I see us losing Barnes is if Klay's pop was right, and we go out and get Durant.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who had back surgery in July & follow-up surgery in September, has taken a leave of absence. Return TBD.

Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton, who has no head coach experience, will serve as interim head coach in Steve Kerr's absence.

Warriors won't be bringing in another coach during Steve Kerr's absence, but there is hope that new consultant Steve Nash can help out more.

Sources saying the Warriors believe he will be ready for the season opener, but who knows?

Doesn't Nash have a bad back too?
