Since we traded Wheeler, and Crick flatlined, we havent had that "stud callup" buzz.

Do you even Chris Heston?

He wasn't a "stud call-up" but Heston has been one of the better pitchers in the NL this year and definitely one of the top rookie starters in all baseball. I'd also add that Beede has the kind of stuff to be even more effective than Heston, and we should definitely see him sometime next year. Stuff-wise, Bickford is the guy to watch out for in the next few years.
Heston is legit. great stuff.

And he's getting better.
I think 99's point was that there is no one that we looked forward to with excitement coming up to the team. No one here thought Chris Heston was going to be great as he sucked last year in the minors. The was no "buzz" on him. It was all Crick and he is flaming out big time.

Beede is the next guy with top of the rotation type stuff but we shall see if that comes to fruition.

I got his point and agree with him. I also think it can be made for our entire system. There is nobody in the system that would make ESPN or FOX SPORTS do a clip if he were called up like they did with Bryant, Correa, Buxton, etc.

There is some nice players there, but no Posey or Madbum (to our knowledge). Heston has been a nice suprise and seems to have the stuff to fill a 4 or 5 spot for a few years.
I don't care about hype. Just be good.

Heston and Duffy have saved this team.

I think Heston is a perfect 3-4-5 kind of starter. Every team needs someone like Chris Heston. However, it sure would be nice to get a Noah Syndergaard type of pitcher coming up that we could gush over. 98 heat, blowing people away, and a clear #1 kind of guy. We obviously all thought Kyle Crick was going to be that player but the Giants must have big doubts now if he is pitching out of the pen.

they really have. Also Aoki
The Giants have been rumored to have been in on Mikey Morse, would love to bring this guy back (in a bench role).

He would be the perfect fit for what we need. Already proven he fits in, fan favorite.
Other than Christian Arroyo and Tyler Beede, we definitely don't have a whole lot of "sexy" prospects coming up anytime soon (more Heston/Duffy types). Sounds like we're trying to change that though with the signing of Fox and the pursuit of Eddy Julio Martinez.

We should've traded them McGehee and cash for Morse. lol

Both have been disasters. Switching back would be better for both players.

We wont bring back Morse unless Miami eats a significant part of his contract. Fricking McGehee.. 4 for 10 with 4 rbi with Miami. In 10 at bats with the Giants he would have 4 GIDPs.
