Move Duff to OF with the ability to play all 4 IF spots... play him wherever we need.

Lol just caught up. Wow, we went from possible Chapman to moving Crawford to third. f**king stupid idea. I love imaginary trade days in here.

Moving Crawford to 3rd DOWN THE LINE isn't really a stupid idea, especially as he gets older and loses some of that range (assuming we extend him, of course). Moving an all-star SS to 3rd anytime soon while we already have Duffy IS pretty stupid, though...I'll give you that.

the idea was down the line - to make room for Arroyo.

Put him in left, our infield right now is special and the fact it's homegrown. It's not like Duffy is a butcher at 3rd eitherOriginally posted by Garcia:Originally posted by GhostofFredDean74:Moving Crawford to 3rd DOWN THE LINE isn't really a stupid idea, especially as he gets older and loses some of that range (assuming we extend him, of course). Assuming we extend Craw and Duffy craps out (which doesn't seem likely to me), that's definitely an option. Though in the scenario that has Duffy coming down to earth, I still think Craw will be the better option at SS with Arroyo moving to 3rd.

Im with you I think Duffy is legit. But he can probably learn to play anywhere, I think he's that type of guy. So smart.
You got a scouting report on Arroyo's defense?

Arroyo probably won't be a SS. Crawford is a great defensive SS. It would be 10 more years until Craw loses SS range (if that happens).

Alright, that's enough to for me. See you guys on game day. Also, we signed someone real today, not imaginary. Thought the signing made no sense. Would love to have Chapman though.

Arroyo just turned 20 in May and he's tearing up a high-A league where the average age is 22-23...this kid is a very special hitter who drives the ball with authority all over the field. If he can somehow stay at SS, that's tremendous value right there. I suspect though that they'll move him to 2nd or possibly 3rd, with a move to LF being a strong possibility too.
I like the idea of moving Crawdawg to 3rd but maybe thats over thinking things.

Duffy does look like the real deal right now. Obviously the Giants wont keep Duffy, Craw, Panik, Arroyo, Fox, and Miller but it will be nice to have insurance and trade chips.

Not sure why they would sign Cabrera its not like our infield is a weakness at the moment. Doesn't really seem like there is room for him, or really even a need for him
