Anything could happen, but I certainly don't see Chapman being traded for anything less than at least 1 top prospect (and change, of course).

How would you rank our current top 10 prospects? Anyone besides Beede and Bickford that you think will end up on the top 100?

1. Christian Arroyo, SS
2. Tyler Beede, SP
3. Phil Bickford, SP
4. Mac Williamson, OF
5. Adalberto Mejia, SP
6. Lucius Fox, SS/OF
7. Aramis Garcia, C
8. Keury Mella, SP
9. Chase Johnson, SP
10. Jalen Miller, SS/2nd

I think Arroyo is definitely a top 100 prospect though Beede will have to finish strong to get on that list (and I'm confident he will). Bickford should be there next year after a full season of low-A and Garcia could break through as well as he's finally starting to hit like he was projected.

Also like Miguel Gomez and Jose Viscaino from their Salem Kaiser team...among others Gomez is a 22 year old catching prospect, switch hitter batting .359 at the moment, and Viscaino, from Santa Clara, is a 3B hitting about .380. It's a long haul to the majors, but we seem to have some talent in the low minors. Some really interesting players on their Dominican Summer League team, too. Some big numbers...Mecky Coronado is 18 and hitting .378...Luis Amaya, a 16 year old with 27 K in 25 innings and a 0.72 ERA. They are still growing! Hard to project, but promising!~

For some reason, as a real young kid, I had an irrational hate for Jose Vizcaino. Just hated his face I guess.

Anything to help you. I've been reading this forum, looks like folks give you quite a bit of grief on here. And yet you've persevered to the tone of some 35,128 posts which seems to be quite the accomplishment being that from what I've read, comments indicate that about 35,120 of them are considered lame.

That's real perseverance.

Sorry but i would but Mejia at 2 & Arroyo 3. Beede 1. Mejia is a gem!!

Some people have Mejia #1 so I can totally see that. Like Beede, he's not getting many swings and misses in AA to warrant top consideration for me, but the potential is definitely there. Arroyo just turned 20 in May and he's tearing up a high-A league where the average age is 22-23...this kid is a very special hitter who drives the ball with authority all over the field. If he can somehow stay at SS, that's tremendous value right there. I suspect though that they'll move him to 2nd or possibly 3rd, with a move to LF being a strong possibility too.

Think a younger version of Craig Biggio when he played 2nd.

Funny you said that about Arroyo and Biggio. I have been hearing that too. He is special for sure. Personally those are my 3 i would not trade. Add Black in there too.
I'm curious if they will start playing him at 3B. Given his age why not now. Or is Crawford expendable??? Hmmm
Rotation is Cain, Peavy, Bum, Huddy, Heston, per Schulman

I like the idea of moving Crawdawg to 3rd but maybe thats over thinking things.

If somehow Duffy comes crashing down to earth, that's not a terrible move to make. I just see Duffy getting better and better though so I'm not sure we'll have an opening at 3rd anytime soon.

Duffy does look like the real deal right now. Obviously the Giants wont keep Duffy, Craw, Panik, Arroyo, Fox, and Miller but it will be nice to have insurance and trade chips.

I really love how 3B was a huge weakness of this team coming into this season and with the awesome play of Mr. Doubleplay making it worse, and how Duffy stepped up big time to really solidify that position. We were all thinking how badly we needed a third baseman for the future yet the free agent market was pretty thin, and at least for right now it seems like Duffy is the answer for us at third for the present and future. If only the same thing could happen with a power hitting outfielder......

I like his swing, looks like he definitely generates some power! Thanks for that, Ghost. I have actually never seen any video of him until now. Ive just read his name a lot. He has a cool name too, sounds like a power hitter. Hope we see him soon

So I guess Boch decided to go with the good, shi**ty, good, shi**y, good order in the rotation...hopefully Cain will fall into the "good" category once he really gets going. I have yet to see Peavy pitch since he returned as I was on vacation recently, but from what I've read he hasn't been terrible yet so that's cool
@SJGiants Keury Mella's final line tonight: 7 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO. 97 pitches. Retired 21 of 23 batters.

The 21 year-old Mella is now tied for 2nd in the Cal League with a 1.10 WHIP and his 3.09 ERA is 5th.

Please don't trade this kid. That swing is legit. Big, strong kid.
Aramis Garcia last 10 games...44 at bats, 20 hits, 5 homers, 17 rbi, and hitting .455. That's in 10 games. He is figuring it out.
