might make Susac expendable?

IMO, he always was.

I think it just depends on what their plan is for Posey, good to know we have a backup catcher that could start on a ton of teams.
Dodger's draft pick, RHP Kyle Funkhouser (35th overall) just announced he's going back to school. They also haven't signed their top pick, Walker Buehler (24th overall) and they have until today at 2PM to do so.

Whenever the Dodgers get effed over, it's Giants news to me.

Also like Miguel Gomez and Jose Viscaino from their Salem Kaiser team...among others Gomez is a 22 year old catching prospect, switch hitter batting .359 at the moment, and Viscaino, from Santa Clara, is a 3B hitting about .380. It's a long haul to the majors, but we seem to have some talent in the low minors. Some really interesting players on their Dominican Summer League team, too. Some big numbers...Mecky Coronado is 18 and hitting .378...Luis Amaya, a 16 year old with 27 K in 25 innings and a 0.72 ERA. They are still growing! Hard to project, but promising!~

For some reason, as a real young kid, I had an irrational hate for Jose Vizcaino. Just hated his face I guess.

Garce gonna Garce.

Gomez is really interesting. You hate to make the Pablo comparisons (especially since Pablo was starting in the big leagues at the same age Gomez is playing in short-season ball), but it's hard not to. Both are short, stocky, switch-hitting latin catcher prospects who can just flat out hit. Again, with Gomez being 22 and playing at SK, I wouldn't put too much stock into his performance but he is interesting to watch no doubt.

Hoping the Giants can come out tonight in Arizona and keep the offense rolling. Chase field could be a nice way to open up the "2nd half" for the offense

They signed Buehler to less than slot and will get the 36th pick next year as compensation for not signing Funhouser. News not as good as we might have hoped.

lol at 27
also

beisbol is back

life can get back to normal now
Guys I for sure don't want to see traded:

Aldaberto Mejia
Kuery Mella
Christian Arroyo
Tyler Beede
Big Mac Willy
Finally Friday...about time!

Time to get back to baseball, looking for a good night from Matty.
Pagan started to heat up a little just before the break (thank you Philly), and Pence should be ready to go for the second half. Once we get Aoki back, our normal OF should start producing again so I'm bullish on this 2nd half of the season. Just have to get the old dudes Cainer, Huddy and Peavy to start pitching like the veterans they are, and we'll be ok.

Agree, and probably why as usual the Giants won't be making a big splash in trades. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't do anything until the waiver wire.

Great job by Bochy and the coaching staff as usual, keeping the Giants competitive while dealing with injuries.
