I agree that we go all in on Price this offseason.

If they got a good enough deal they would.

Gave us Scutaro :)

3.56 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP pitching for the Reds this year. I cant wait to see what he'll do in a pitchers park.

Good trade I suppose. We still get to keep Beede, Susac, and Crick, and now we have a third dependable starter.

It will be a good trade if we can sign him in the offseason.

Most definitely, but we're going to sign a good SP regardless next offseason, whether it's Leake or not. I don't think we have a choice at this point.

No doubt about that. The Giants will be in the market for at least one premium starter in the off season.

I think they should go all-in on David Price in the off-season.

If Jon Lester can get about 170M I hate to think how much David Price will cost.

Lester got 155. Im guessing Price gets around 180.

According to reports, Lester's six-year, $155 million contract with the Cubs includes a signing bonus of $30 million to be paid over the life of the contract and a full no-trade clause. Lester will receive either a $10 million buyout after the 2020 season or a $25 million vesting option for the '21 season that could bring the total take to $170 million.

We already kind of know.

His ERA was almost 5 Great American Park and a 1.46 WHIP (which is average to below average).

He was great on the road - so that's the no. I'm interested in - 2.28 ERA and .86 WHIP (which is elite).
Ok all, I for one am glad the trading deadline has now come and gone. We basically see how everyone is set up, there may be some moves on the waiver wire but the rosters for the most part are complete.

Good test coming for the Giants over then next week and a half, I like our roster and I like our team. I like the acquisition of Leake, and I don't think we paid too much for him. I think he's exactly the type of pitcher the Giants organization looks for and I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants work hard to sign him to a long term deal once the season is over.

So back to the field, Go Giants! Friday night baseball!!
Duff and Posey! Come on pence!
