Im going to make a comp. that might get laughed at, but something about Matt Duffy at the plate reminds me of Jeff Kent.
He has such a solid eye with gap to gap power. Long ways to get to actual Kent territory, but theres something there IMO.

I don't think Duffy will ever have Kent's power. Duffy may hit for an average that is as good or maybe somewhat better than Kent. He won't match him in slugging. Kent was special, easy to forget how good he was. Not a lot of range on the field, but he rarely missed what he got to. And, he was a bad ass of all times, a real tough SOB.
But I like Duffy.

Not his HR power, but that gap to gap doubles power.
But then again, Duffy might hit 15 HR this year, which 3 times what people expected. You never know if he puts on more muscle weight.
Like I said, im not saying he'll be Kent, but there are things that remind me of Kent, which is saying something.

Kent probably outweighed him by about 30 lbs at least. He's bigger, maybe Duffy will grow into it but not likely. Kent is a potential HOF, if he played in NY it would be a no doubter.

If this game goes deep into extra innings the Giants are f**ked. Bochy did a pretty crappy job of managing his BP in this one. Petit or Vogey have to be the guy at the end that can go 9 innings if necessary.
