You're picking apart a minute detail for some reason, I don't understand why.... I was just basically saying even our normally reliable guys didn't do well. Give it a rest. Jesus christ.

See post above. Obviously I wasnt alone at thinking your post was dumb. I guess you "falter" if you give up any hit and dont go 1-2-3 with runners on base. LOL

lol I wouldn't take solace in stevewallacehelmet

Merely saying Kontos hasn't allowed an inherited runner to score pretty much all year and he finally does on arguably our worst pitching day as a team so far. So yeah, he faltered - thats how good he's normally been. Y'all get hung up on some meaningless details sometimes.

I made a post about the REAL failures of Cain, Casilla and Vogelsong who were the reasons the Giants lost yesterday and then you decided to lump Kontos in there too. Kontos was NOT the reason they lost nor did he falter. Yesterday he got a HOLD, went one inning with a whip of 1 and era of .000. Yes, he gave up a hit. ONE single. He got the first 2 runners out with a man in scoring position and then gave up a single. And.. he left with the Giants up by 2 runs. He did his job. And btw.. a runner on 2nd with 0 outs scores over 60% of the time.

If he had given up a grounder to 2nd for the first out with the runner advancing to 3rd and then given up another grounder to 2nd with the infield back and the run scoring.. would he have faltered? Same result.

It's more of a point of how good Kontos has been but you seem to be missing that for some reason. Oh, well.

Complete faltering.
Garce - just say you picked a poor word to describe Kontos performance and move on. It's ok to admit a mistake, man.

Gosh...it's like NinerTalk in here.

Talking about Kontos faltering for giving up a soft basehit when inheriting a runner on 2nd no out situation....and you are coming at me? Ok bro. lol

Our lineup looks so much worse with Ehire in there instead of Panik.
