Pavlovic just said Mella is "one of the guys" going to Cincy.

Our top ranked guy for Leake?

You really have changed on your stance 99. LOL

That was my knee-jerk, initial reaction to the trade. Obviously the move grew on me afterwards. I never denied saying that...

BTW, you really searched back 10 days and reposted that in an attempt to make me look bad?

lol of course he did. He's probably got multiple bookmarks of Garce.

Pathetic move. Classical john.

LOL STFU Garce. You are the king of pathetic

Really Garce? You reported this?

LOL Of course he did.

Its truly a pathetic posting style. I did not attack him personally.

So now it's attack the posting style, not the poster? Just stop.
Anyway, moving on. 99 .. sorry if you thought I was trying to make you "look bad".

Just bad news on Leake and comes at the worst possible time. The Mets and Cubs are really playing good ball right now and I am worried about our chances making the playoffs to be honest. Its going to be REAL close.

So you guys turned down a Cameron Maybin/Juan Uribe for Angel Pagan/prospect trade?
Remember that time Garce personally attacked Ninerjohn, and then reported him when he said almost the exact same thing back to him?

Thats pretty vague. It depends on which "prospect" they wanted. There was also rumors that the Giants dont want Uribe back, since part of the reason he left for LA in the first place was because he got disgruntled with not being a full time player. I would love that trade, or hate it, all depending on which prospect we gave up.
BTW, it hasnt really been talked about much, but has anyone else noticed that Buster Posey is striking out WAY less than usual? Only 33 K's this year. Hes on pace for only about 47.

In his 2012 MVP season he struck out 96 times.

No, I hadn't noticed. I noticed he was hot, and hitting a lot of singles with two strikes though. Only 33! Wow, thanks for pointing it out. Would be dope if he ended up with less than 50.

FUDGE!

Leake to the DL

Such a wonderful day of sports news...

This is exactly why you dont pay a ransom and give up top prospects for a rental. I just dont think its ever worth it.

To be fair, I dont think Mella has a higher upside than Leake, and Leake would be a good guy to re-sign. Still 27, very solid 3 starter talent, could take a step forward at AT&T and with Righetti's magic, wouldnt cost us an arm and a leg, etc.

I saw this as a move just as much for the future as right now. Its still yet to be seen if they do re-sign him, but I dont think they make the trade without the intent to lock him up.

My thoughts exactly. Good points my friend
