But you don't find it amusing that his first name is Johnny?

Johnny is a common name, even in the latin countries. You probably arent going to see the name "Brent" very often in the Dominican Republic...

Yes, but he really wants to hear Krug and Kuip. The cable version makes you listen to the other teams announcers about 25% of the time. The MLB TV version is much better and only happened about 2 times all last year. And I watch around 150-155 giants games a year.

Copy, I watch about 50% either at home or in the Giants broadcast area so I don't really notice the announcers that much. A lot of times I just watch and don't have the sound, especially if I'm on the road watching on my phone.

Sorry to bring this up again, and ruin the nostalgia of discussing the 3 World Series runs....but I was wondering if Rubberneck36 or anyone knows how the MLB.tv single team subscription works? I know its cheaper, and I would assume you get to either choose the broadcast feed, or only hear the team you are subscribed to. I'm thinking about giving that a try...

You can make a list of all the odd/cool things that happened across the 3 WS runs.

  • the ball that hit the top of the wall
  • Ishi's HR
  • MadBum coming out of the pen
  • ?
  • ?
  • ?

Hunter Pence's bat hitting the ball 3 times on one swing.

The ground ball hitting the corner of 3B and veering into LF.

Brooks Conrad.

The pouring rain we won the pennant in, which is likely the most rain an MLB game has ever been played during.

The Crawford Grand Slam that silenced 45,000 people at once.

The 18 inning game in Washington.

And of course, the Alex Gordon single that Blanco and Perez booted around.

All such amazing memories. It's crazy how many critical moments happen during runs like those. Thats part of the reason I love baseball.

Add in the Game 6 NLCS clincher in Philly when Sanchez nearly lost it and the benches cleared, except for Jeremy Affeldt. Affeldt was so clutch, man I'm gonna miss seeing him pitch (especially in the playoffs). I actually just watched his retirement ceremony pre-game speech the other day....That was pretty emotional and sincere

Looks more like Alex Smith than MadBum.
Without all the hair, it somehow makes him look like a smaller guy. Reminds me of 2010 WS
