Why do you keep going down this road? You just can't stop lol.

Do you want me to start talking again about all of the people you've met and drank with, about how you stood in the middle of a restricted active construction zone just admiring the new arena, about you and Grant and Carmichael Dave and Uriah?

I thought we were good.

Except Romo is right. Harper is the one running his mouth. This is a good example of other people being enablers. People side with Harper even though hes in the wrong. SMH.

I know it hurts to hear, but Bryce Harper will NOT sign here if he makes it to free agency. The Giants went that route with Bonds, and it didnt cultivate a championship culture. Team chemistry is more important than one left handed prima donna.

They created a championship culture but unfortunately had one of the absolute worst postseason managers in baseball history with Dusty Baker, who in my mind will always be a first class s**t.

Things got so toxic when Bonds was here. Everyone in the entire organization was afraid of him and Harvey Shields. They just did what they wanted on their own schedule. Bonds had his own special mega locker with a leather recliner. He alienated the team, and the organization was held hostage by his opinions. They had to keep him happy. When youre that good, you run the team. LeBron does the same in Cleveland.

I loved Bonds as a player, but it was obvious that he controlled what the team did, which made the clubhouse cold and awkward.

Also, Bryce Harper isnt Barry Bonds. Hes not going to be hitting 45+ HR a year at AT&T. A 400 million dollar franchise controlling guy would derail everything this organization has built so far, culturally.

Yes, start talking again.

I stood in a construction area.

I met some local idiots.

Tell me more.

Meh, not likely. Be happy though.
Start the season already. I don't want to read about construction areas or beer.

I disagree. Harper is a kid. Hes viewing the game from an unrealistic perspective. The NFL has taken a ton of steps to snuff out the celebration and hot dogging, because they know it makes the sport look bad. Baseball isnt a rah-rah sport. Part of what makes the game unique is holding to the old time traditions.

Baseball still values respect and humility. We dont need another sport with guys pounding their chest and dancing around after they do something great. Act like youve been there before.

In fact, when players DO hot dog in baseball, it generates confrontation that makes the game just as exciting, if not more, because of the tension. Allowing the players to dance around and taunt freely isn't going to improve the game by any means.

So I take it you haven't purchased your Royce Harper SF Giants jersey yet? Or is that Bryce Clayton?

Hes a great young player. He's probably going to the HOF as long as he can stay somewhat healthy. I just think hes immature, entitled, and has a bad attitude. Its not all his fault, because hes been told he was special his whole life.

Great player, crappy attitude, and will likely never be a Giant. I have nothing against him as a player.

He is special.

So is Posey. Yet their attitudes are almost polar opposites.

I love Posey. He is a great Giant and he will be with us for a long time as the best catcher in baseball.

But he's not the talent that Bryce Harper is.
