I'm surprised he seemed fine after taking that hit

yeah same, hope he is okay.

It looked like he got a small piece of it with his glove, and he turned his head back in time for it to mostly glance off his forehead. That was really close to ruining his 2016...

and ours. We already have Cain. Losing Cueto would have really hurt.

Why does it seem like pitchers are getting beaned in the head more often than before? It felt like 10+ years ago it happened only once a season.

I honestly think its because pitchers throw a little harder and players are stronger. Not as much reaction time when that ball comes back. It doesn't have to be more than a fraction of a second to be the difference between now and back 10-20 years ago.

Is this is in the near future? Although it hit Cueto's head, so that would have been above this guard.

Selfishly im glad that Bonds got blackballed out of the league after the Giants parted ways with him. He wanted to play so bad, but im glad he got to finish his career as a Giant. This kind of proves he couldve probably been a useful DH for years after 2007 if he had been given a chance. The fact that he can still put on a BP show at age 51 is amazing.

I am convinced that Bonds could have played 3+ more years as a DH.....which would have probably added at least 75 homeruns to his record.

Such a shame.

Without any Major injuries, the dude could have played until like 47 as a DH.

This BP thing should remind people that it's not just steroids that make you the beast he was. He's 51 and just won over Stanton .. Crazy. Wish there was a video

Maybe Bonds only agreed to do it if there was no cameras, just in case he did poorly. lol

sounds very bonds-ish, really wish he was the hitting instructor in san francisco. last year I read a article that stated brandon crawford worked with bonds in the offseason and during spring training on hitting, s**t paid dividends for crawford last year
