He's very lucky Molinari faltered. He was lights out except those two holes.

In every golf tournament there is luck involved. Tiger was the best golfer for 72 holes and deserved to win.

You said you doubt Tiger will pass Jack that there are too many great golfers.

I said, he arguably was lucky this time around because Molinari was so good all but two holes on the last round and hit an acorn that led to his ball going into the water, reaffirming what your point was (too many great golfers for him to win another 4 majors) and you respond with luck happens and he was the best... lol

Bottom line is that Tiger played the best for 72 holes and didnt choke and hit 2 balls in the water on the back 9. You can call it lucky. I call it performing under the pressure at the Masters and coming thru. As for luck on a course.... there is luck on virtually every round for every golfer. I'm sure you can go back and look at the first 3 rounds and see where Tiger was unlucky with putts going over the lip of the cup.

Luck had nothing to do with my original point. That was more about his age and the tremendous amount of golfers on tour now in their prime years. I think its highly unlikely that he wins 4 more. Not impossible but unlikely.

I didn't say he wasn't the best or didn't deserve to win. You are getting defensive over your boy Tiger for no reason, lol.

The gap has closed, it took a ball hitting an acorn for him to win. Thats the margin of error.

Molinari hit 3 very bad shots on the back 9 and it cost him. Tiger played better for 72 holes and won. You can say Tiger was lucky that Molinari faltered. I just choose to look at it that he outplayed him.

As for the gap being closed... LOL. That happened many years ago. There is no one dominant golfer in the world any longer that is the odds on favorite to win like Tiger was.

You may be the least enjoyable poster on this board, second to 99.

Thanks for proving my point.

You are quite welcome. Now, run along and be sure to put me on ignore since you dislike me so much.

Tiger's win vaults him up to #6 in the Golf World Rankings. Dustin passes Rose for #1 in the World once again
Take a look at a timeline of Tiger's injuries. It's a miracle he's not in a wheelchair let alone winning a Masters Championship. His competitive spirit kept him going when everyone said he will never play again. The British Open fits him game nicely, maybe that's #2 for the year. He's one of the few athletes that you live and die with each swing. The ratings must have shot through the roof as he walked up the 18th.

The US Open is at Pebble Beach where he possibly had the most dominant win in history of majors golf. It would be incredible if he wins another this year. Cant imagine any golf fan not having watched today.

That is such bs...Molinarri and Tiger were TIED when the former hit the tree and into the water on 15. If it doesn't hit the tree Molinari likely pars 15 while Tiger birdied it so Woods up 1. Then Tiger hit it perfect on 16 to within 4 feet for a birdie while Molinari w another par. Tiger up 2 going to 17 over Molinarri EVEN IF THE BALL DIDN'T HIT THE ACORN.

Try again.
