McIlroy announced Monday that he suffered a total rupture of the ATFL -- the anterior talofibular ligament, and the one most commonly sprained -- in his left ankle while playing soccer with friends Saturday.
That sucks. Hope he didn't f**k up his whole career with this.

They havent even ruled him out of the British Open yet which is in 2 weeks. That just seems strange for a "total rupture" of a ligament. Hopefully it isnt as serious as McIlroy's announcment made it seem.

.@TigerWoods It's better to be over 50, than it is to be over par. #DisruptAging #TheOpen

What a disaster. Are they even gonna be able to finish this thing on Monday? lol
I was watching when they tried to restart the 2nd round last night. Dude putted and the ball stopped 2 feet from the hole. Before he could get there the wind pushed it 4 more feet from the hole. Then he didn't know what to do and didn't mark it. The wind pushed it again another 4 feet from the hole. Lol

Looks like putting ( as crazy as that sounds) might cost Speith a real chance to win his 3rd major. Its almost hard to believe that he could 3 putt 5 greens. 37 putts. WOW
Not impossible for him of course but it wont be easy passing over a dozen golfers and coming back from 5 behind DJ. I think the biggest threats to Johnson at this point are Oosthuizen and Day. Oostie won in 2010 at St Andrews, is only 3 back, and showed at the US Open that he can go crazy low. Day is going to break through at some point and this could be the time.

My boy Jordan tied for the lead! Seems like everybody on the course is within a few shots now. Even 2 amateurs up toward the top of the board.

I really would like to see Speith, DJ, or Day win although it would be pretty incredible to see an amateur win this tournament.

If not Speith, DJ for me. But he has to play aggressive

DJ isnt going to win. He had wedge into at least half of the holes, could reach the par 5s in 2, and could even drive a couple of the par 4s. However he still shot over par today.

He played a horrible round today but you have played long enough to know that can change in a flash. He just needs to get his wedges dialed in and make some putts. Sports is all about momentum and Dustin will need to get off to a good start tomorrow.
I would bet on Day if I was laying down money. I think its his time. But really, so many guys have a chance.
