I like after a tackle they spaz out a little like "get the f**k off me" and then sometimes they give each other a forearm or a little bash and that's ok. lol

It doesn't really work like that. Running sideways too much usually results in a loss of position. The defence is a line of guys that are used to sliding across to cover their man. If you could see from end on, you'd find that they're almost always running between the tacklers, but they're just so good at defending, the hole closes just as fast.

You should've seen it years ago. It was anything goes almost.

Inside their own 40 the forwards will usually run it. After that they're a bit looser with the ball and the backs get their turn.

Its a grind game mate no blockers and a solid line of defense no where to run but straight into someone unless the defense gets tired and holes get open.. keep an eye on the Broncos halves tho Milford and Ben Hunt later in the game.. Also watch Johnathan Thurstons passing game he will put guys into holes.. One of the best halves "QB's in NRL history

As was the nfl. Back in the day they could clothesline people and just launch their helmets at dudes faces or where ever they wanted. Now they play a politically correct version of the game. lol

If they make it look bad enough, they can draw a penalty.

Imagine 20 or 30 americans in here all saying how the rugby guys aren't doing it right and us trying to tell you how the game should be played.

I would think that is great A bit of mutual understanding should help our discussions a bit.. I am glad you are bothering to take the time to atleast watch a game mate :)

Much respect!

Field poison is very important, you only get 5 tackles to get down to the other end.

Forwards make ground up the centre dragging in the defense to open up holes for the fast backs out wide when they get closer to the try line.

Field position is just as important in league as it is in the nfl.

It is much easier to defend in the other teams half then yours.
A Hayne mention in the game!

This... You are really trying to beat players with ball movement, rather than elusive running. Don't get me wrong elusive running is in the game, but letting the ball do the work is the name of the game... Great team plays where the ball travels through many sets of hands, trump individual elusive runs any day of the week.
