If they all train for pure speed, none would last 80 mins. Remember they doing offensive AND defence all game. So it's a combination of speed, power and endurance. Why we like it.

So did that guy flop like in socccer(football)? Is he really hurt or just selling the penalty?

Not at all thats just head gear .. like an inch or so thick of foam.. it doesn't stop much at all and it doesn't cover the face.. most players wear mouth guards as well..
NFL players aren't p***y's either even tho they wear full body tampons ;) Jk's btw.. I see both games as tough.. In different ways..

Indeed. I only played rugby league for two years, played rugby union for 12, the main difference was you felt like you'd been tenderised or through a mincer for two weeks after a league game. Rugby wasn't soft by any means but league is so hard on the body.

The difference is in the endurance stakes. Massive guys don't find it easy to run constantly for 30-40 minutes. Plenty of NFL guys could make a name in rugby, but they'd have to do a massive amount of endurance training, which would make a big difference to their build, if they ever tried.

He's considered the best player in the game. Humble guy too. Gave his helmet away to a small kid of the opposing team last week. He's known for that kinda stuff. May help a little avoiding concussion. And head gashes. He's a tough little sucker.

Selling the penalty imo, looked down on in our game but ginger f*gs still do it, apparently.
