Not an unexpected result unfortunately. Broncos haven't been playing well enough to win against that calibre of team. Storm well deserve the win.

Go the Cowboys!

Bloody torture to watch though. The Broncos had a really good opportunity tonight, the Storm just couldn't click in attack for that whole first hour. The bloody Broncos didn't know what to do with that much possession in the Storm 20 and when we had something cooking Moga was there to, well, Moga it up. Good luck Newcastle. I won't miss Blair either. Also very disappointed in Kahus shot on Billy's knee.

Looking forward to what Jack Bird brings next year. Until then.....Go Cowboys.

Yeah, torture is a good adjective. Shot ourselves in the foot every time. Should've been up by a couple of tries at half with weight of possession but have to credit Storm defence. Didn't see the Kahu on Slater thing. Guess that's why Cam was calling him a f**kwit? What happened there?

Absolutely mate the Storm were great defensively and the broncos just weren't good enough.

Billy had gone over under the posts and kahu came in very very late and attacked Slaters legs while he was on the ground. Kahu deserved a smack in the mouth for it and was lucky to just get away with a tongue lashing.

As you know Locky I posted on the BHQ season review thread.
We will need more than Jack Bird next year.
We need changes to our attacking structure.
In brief this includes larger bodies in motion, using inside channels more.
Roster improvements: halves, forwards.

Didn't think Kahu was that kind of bloke. Maybe the frustration of facing defeat but no excuse anyhow.
Amazing, amazing performance from the Cowboys. If they bring what they have the last few weeks, I truly believe they can beat the Storm.

Slater's done worse, legs first don't forget.
The Cowboys v Roosters game was class.

Congrats, CB.

Looking forward to the final.

I saw ealier that somebody mentioned some disappointing crowds for the NRL finals series. I've seen them compared to the massive crowds in the AFL finals by the media...

Tbh, I don't get it, considering the majority of the AFL finals have been lopsided blowouts, while in the NRL most finals have been very close & exciting contests.
That's why the Maroons are a champion team, because the cowboys, storm and broncos (although outclassed by melbourne) show alot more heart for their teams than NSW sides. It shows in the club levels and state of origin and the warriors have to learn to get that pride for club, Jersey and brotherhood.

Don't get me wrong Andy, it couldn't have happened to a nicer c**t, I just want our boys to be above that rubbish. I'm all for tough footy and a bit of niggle and gamesmanship but that just looked terrible.

For what it's worth I think you're right about the Broncos needing a fair overhaul this offseason. What are your thoughts on this whole Matt Lodge situation?
Did you lot see that PNG game to beat Sunshine Coast. There were 11,000 at Suncorp and it sounded like a full stadium especially with their last ditch come from behind victory. They are now QLD Cup holders and will face Penrith for the Intrust Super Championship.
A country where it is their National Sport. What a fairy tale story. I hope their fans get GF tickets and the airlines don't price gauge.

You have point there
Perhaps whoever wins State of Origin should host the Grand Final.

That would give NSW a bit more incentive to win it.

That is not a bad idea.

Interesting that the QLD "spine" less 1 cowboy is in GF and NSW is "spineless" for GF.

Watched it rabbits, great game.
Great for PNG, unfortunate for the Seagulls.
