Bit like the AFL GF, looked like a contest early but ended up one sided.

Nothing could be as bad as AFL except girls playing AFL
NRL 360 were talking about the greatness of Billy Slater, & how we shouldn't be surprised by his miraculous return to form after overcoming serious injury.

Couldn't help but think during the segment, he's the anti Hayne.

NRL need an anti Hayne

That boy is running on fumes imo.

Hasn't been the same since he left for the NFL.

But to hear how hard Billy works to return from injury, each time... And compare it to Hayne who can't even be bothered getting himself into proper shape is a real eye opener.

I thing that is what gets me and a whole lot of others about Hayne. He had the ability but didn't like working to perfect it. He should have stuck around the 49ers. If he just stuck to special teams and worked on it image how well he would do in returns compared to who they have now. But he is just a quitter who does not want to put the work in.

I hope next season is his last season

Exactly, in hindsight he was never going to make in the NFL because he lacks the work ethic & dedication.

While others were getting stuck in early getting into football shape, he was stuffing around in Oz.

His first season he had an excuse for not being in NFL shape, by his second he should have been in shape raring to go.

Training with the Fiji sevens team was supposed to get him in shape for the NRL, but another season on, he's still not physically where he should be.

I had initially hoped he'd come back & remind us, after all the code hopping silliness, what a phenomenal RL player he was (Was is the keyword).

But, NO! He's doing his absolute best to finish his career on a low note.

Billy's the type of guy, had he gone to the NFL early enough, who would've made it, same with rugby U.

Why? Because he's got the mental application to succeed wherever he goes, not just the physical.

No idea when JH will retire? But I hope he doesn't sniff the RLWC even with Fiji. On form alone he's undeserving, just like he's been undeserving of our attention for the past 2-3 years.

Do you know what I think the overall problem with Hayne is, Goatie?

Hayne loves Hayne, not RL, AF, or RU.

The reason given on 360 for Billy working so hard, was because he loves rugby league... And it's hard to argue against that.

Hayne is a narcissistic t**t and a fake God Botherer

A perfect summation, Goatie.

It's a shame so many of us were duped by his - "Just a humble boy from Minto, with big dreams" act.

Happy to say, I never bought any merch.
So... 2017 RLWC, can anyone challenge Australia?

Or will this be a cakewalk.

Me neither except a 49ers Cap. It was an act all the time. We all see through it now and he has ruined his own legacy. In a couple of years no one will remember him

Well in RL terms, the guy could've been an immortal.

But he won't sniff it now, particularly since his era coincides with Cronk, Slater, Smith, Thurston.

Even though he's was a freak, he wasn't a GI level freak. So his legacy is well short of what it could've been.

Izzy Folau, SBW, Karmichael Hunt, Lote Tiqiri, Ben Te'o, etc... Are more successful cross code athletes. So yeah, he was great in patches, but more often than not, just good.

Better work ethic & he could have been a legitimate once in a generation player.

And on that note..Well done Boyd Cordner for the big VC next to his name after the naming of the Aus squad
Cam Smith is the main C

How could you forget the self proclaimed "greatest athalete (sic) of all time", Anthony "The Man" Mundine?
