Yep. He'll go back to the Nth Qld Cowboys and be part of the development squad.

Former Warriors superstar Ali Lauititi returns to the club after a decade-long stint in the Super League
He's probably past it by now?
However I loved watching him play in his prime & will be interested to see what he's got left in the tank.

Johnathan Thurston wins rugby league's Golden Boot award

Australian star Johnathan Thurston has won rugby league's Golden Boot award for a record third time.
The 32-year-old halfback capped off a sensational year after he led the North Queensland Cowboys to a first NRL grand final triumph and won the Dally M medal for a record fourth time.
Congratulations JT… Might just be the best player I've ever seen. (Rugby League)
His consistency at the elite level is unbelievable.

Not sure really, I don't think he'll have the same kind of natural catching ability that the better TEs have & I'm not sure if he'll be a good route runner, he may be too stiff?
If he learns technique he could be a good blocker, but that's probably it... I also don't think he'll receive the same kind of additional financial support that Hayne did to pursue his dream... Tom Burgess will have to chase his NFL dream using what's in his own pocket.
I don't think much will come of this unless Tom's prepared to risk his salary for the opportunity... It'll be more of a risk for him than it was for Hayne.
(A good read about the difficulties facing other potential code jumpers... Not named Hayne)

Especially like when he missed a goal and threw his kicking tee away....Then he got bagged and all of a sudden he goes and gets the tee for the ball boy and he is a good bloke now.I like the time he got photographed coming out of the cop shop after a night of drunken debauchery. Also remembering he was named as one of the offenders in the bulldogs gang bang fiasco on the gold coast.
he is a great player though and if he is going to role model let it be what he does on the field.

Great the game just got slower, after implementing this from the NFL, why dont they just introduce the 4qrts they've been sitting on the fence with, add helmets and pads and be over with it already.
They talk about reducing interchange by 2 players and then add on some more b******t stoppages.I tell you thei game is heading the way of the nfl......GO and watch some early american footbal games....They used to ruck the ball at a brisk pace then with tv rights they started to modify the game to fit into the advertisers schedule......Rugby league is heading their....They should reduce the interchange by half.....Then these big fat players that would not handle the pace would be no more.....Then the pacific island dominance will fall. Then junior footballers will not have to put up with boys 3 times their weight because they would not keep up with the game..Then we will return to big man vs small man again as the trophy suggests...The ten metre rule has to be slacken which it is back down to 7 metres. That way the refs can get back onside thereby speeding the play the ball.
Once this game went to ten metres the players could not keep up and scores were blowing out to 55-44 and other ridicules scores.....So eventually the refs were instructed to allow for slower play the balls....They created dominant tackles so the fans could not complain about the frustrating slow wrestling that crept into the game.Players todAY attempt to not tackle but to hold up the player and then trip him over when the held call comes.

Especially the ending.. Mate Explain what Andrew Johns ever did that Johnathan Thurston didn't do.. Apart from a ton of drugs? JT is the Greatest Of All Time half.. champion..
Andrew Johns took the line on when he had no options left.As a matter of fact that is the default play for a playmaker when all options are cancelled.Thurston did not use this option of bumping off big forwards with his low center of balance.

The game came from rugby so yeah there wouldve been some characteristics left in the early years not anymore well the scrum formation has changed to the scrimmage line i guess and the 5/8th is now the qtrback....
