So I don't get this Bulldogs scandal.

Two girls who are old enough to have sex legally have sex with a 23 and 24 year old player. So why is this any one's business? It wasn't an orgy. It was two couples who are legally allowed to have sex with one another in the privacy of a hotel rooms then why is it a scandal? Young people do have sex still, right?

Just read that the girl was 16? I thought first reports said 18. Yeah 16 is a bit rank.

I guess it just isn't a good look for the game and as you say the media will jump all over it.
I agree that if it is legal then who cares. But they earn big bucks and are supposed to represent something bigger than themselves and so have made their pact with the corporate devil.

For one I think the club has a no fraternising rule at the teams Hotel.
Secondly the visit to the School was a promotion for NRL and Canterbury in which these players represented and as such cross a moral/ethical/respect line in my humble unqualified opinion. Would Schools ever invite these meat heads back again.
Thirdly Canterbury has now likely lost a very large sponsor who can use this as a reason to get out. The NRL has a now got a harder job promoting to the grass. cough. roots.

I think this only really applies to Olam and the other one was done outside of the promotional work so he is only breaching the Hotel rule if in fact they were of legal age.

It is still legal but they would be very young in the head. Their parents would definitely be not happy. If they were over 18 it would be a completely different story. I think the one who picked up from the school is more in the wrong because he was on the job so to speak. The other fellow who met the girl where she worked is in a different category. If the guys were 18 or 19 I don't think it would be so much a problem but 23-24 would be a little too old for a 16 year old.
