Pretty happy about this.

Also happy about the result of last night's game vs the roosters.

But TBH Vlandys and co are killing the sport ATM.
The introduction of "6 again's" has increased the number of injuries due to fatigue and blown scores therefore making particular games unenjoyable to watch. Also a number of calls you start to question the accountability of the refs.

The second is the recent crackdown on high contact, stopping the game to review with players either put on report and/or sin binned.
The change in officiating has only slowed down the sport, the opposite of what the 6 again's were supposed to do.
No one wants to see bad high tackles but it is a contact sport, penalizing soft head high calls and teams reduced to 11, 12 men nearly every game ATM does not make an attractive contest.

Interested to hear other people's thoughts on the above?

Agreed with regard to the blowouts. It seems like 5 games (or more) out of 8 each week this season are blowouts and I struggle to sit through the 4 minute highlight videos on YouTube let alone a full game these days. In their attempt to promote scoring, which is all they think fans want to see, they have just made it harder for poorer teams to compete. Once a good team gets on the front foot, they just destroy the lowly teams in the most demoralising way with grossly imbalanced possession.

Have no desire to watch with how things are going. Hopefully SOO isn't dragged down to the level the NRL has been.

💯 Agree mate
Please sack Milford forever.
Mitchel...Auuugh!
Jordan Mailata who just scored the started gig at Left Tackle with the Philly Eagles wants to squash all reference to his NRL career.

Understandable when there is nothing worse than putting all the hard work in and when you make one miss step then you get referred to as someone who has no business knowing how to play on the gridiron.

Well Jordan Matilda won't be missing staying with the Bunnies this year. Tough Grand Final. The Bunnies just did not give up. Penrith were clearly the stronger team and things went their way but very very tight. Very good Grand Final to watch.

Although sentimentally I wanted the bunnies to win. Did not like the way Panthers played and the bs around the coach.
Couldn't see a topic for rugby league on this board so thought a rugby league thread would be interesting as it's the closest sport to the NFL this side of the pond.

Rugby League is the lesser known code of rugby to the type you're probably aware of which is rugby union.

Thought I'd start the topic with some news.

Rob Burrow scoring this try in 2011 was diagnosed with MND in 2019 and to see someone that was that good, fit and healthy deteriorating is sad to see.

Anyway his former captain and team mate Kevin Sinfield has just run 101 miles in 24 hours to raise MND awareness.

great achievement

To be honest I prefer League to Union.
Played both in school as a kid. League is the faster paced game and the more working class game. But did enjoy playing union but it's the more middle class sport which it's why it's the preferred game in southern England.

still great to see what Kevin Sinfield will do for his mate who's suffering badly with MND.

raised over a million now.
Played Union. Hated it.

Yep.
Can't beat some rugby league dust ups
