go away troll
Didn't realize Xavier Henry was on Santa Cruz last year (and summer league this year). Not the greatest shooter, but his strength and slashing could be very useful off the bench. I hope his knee is healthy and he can get a tryout this year.

Little talked about enhancements with this tornado-like off season.

Free throw shooting:

Festus 50% - West 82%
Bogut 50% - Zaza 75%

Oh and ...

Barnes 73% - Durant 88%

Draymond and Iggy are the worst FT shooters on the team now (so far). I think the hacka-(whoever) strategy will not work against the W's next year.

Excellent point. As good a shooting team this was, we were remarkably average at FT shooting. Part of that is Curry and Klay's style, they don't draw fouls at a high rate, although Curry gets hammered all the freakin' time. Doesn't get nearly enough calls when going to the hoop.

Expect a big jump in FT shooting average, because Durant will get to the line a lot and convert a high %. Also can't hack-a-whoever anymore. Maybe Iggy, but it's not like he's DeAndre Jordan or anything.

I didn't realize either. Amazed the dude is still only 25. He's had his opportunities, just hasn't been good. Thought he was kind of decent a few years back with the Lakers.

He's been trying to crack the GS roster for years lol. Even when he was with the Lakers

Love the West signing btw. If we didn't land Durant this offseason, I wouldn't have minded if we signed West alone; really wanted him last year when he was pondering between GS and San Antonio.

At least him and Pachulia are on the same squad so they do t rip each other's heads off

Warriors are not the Niners; nor is their coaching staff or their ownership.

wow, I've been busy past couple days and hadn't paid attn to overall reaction, then was looking at something on SB Nation when I noticed a link to an opinion piece about Durant to Warriors. Against my better judgement I clicked, between the article and comments, the consensus is its a crime NBA allowed this "super team" to be formed, max contracts led to this, and this will kill casual fan interest in the NBA. Geez, bed-wetters just a little melodramatic methinks.

It's a crime that we drafted and developed three top players (who weren't even top 5 picks, paying to keep them, and having an owner that's willing to spend $$$$$ for a winner) and then finally making a splash in FA?

f**k off rest of NBA, f**k off for life

Yup. Signing Durant was like a giant middle finger to the NBA and all the current/former players who constantly discredit and disrespect this team.. Screw 'em.

Super teams are not a new concept. For heaven's sake we had a Celtics team in the 50's-60's that won 11 championships in 13 years. We had Celtics and Lakers teams of the 80's that were loaded with HOFers and owned the entire decade. We had a Bulls team that dominated the 90's. 6 championships in 8 years, probably would have been 8 for 8 if not for Jordan's 1st retirement. From 1998-2014, 10 of 17 championships were won by the Lakers or Spurs.

AND THERE"S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. Those were some amazing years for basketball, and this Warriors team will be amazing.

Super teams have been formed irrespective of free agency or max contracts. They've always existed and always will. The elite players will always dominate this league, and they will form the best teams around them no matter what. That's basketball.

I guess we should apologize to the rest of the league for being infinitely smarter than they are. It's our fault Curry, Thompson, and Green fell to us and we were smart enough to have a vision and pick them. If it's so unfair, go ahead and draft them. Don't pass them up for a f**king Ricky Rubio or Jonny Flynn.

Now that the NBA got LeBron's obligatory Cleveland championship out of the way, we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming of kicking the leagues ass.

Now its the Warriors time to take over. New World Order
Spurs just traded diaw to jazz. Spurs losing diaw and duncan retiring, gasol taking their place. If this warriors team is healthy, no other team in the league is at their level.

Warriors have a few good years and all of a sudden they're the greatest franchise ever lol

I doubt anyone in here has ever said that. However, they certainly have a better franchise right now than the 49ers do. Better ownership, better leadership, and better management. This isnt the 80s anymore.
Warriors targeting Ray Allen, Mario Chalmers and Kendrick Perkins
