We won't be able to keep Speights. If I understand correctly, we renounced the rights to all our FAs to clear the cap holds, opening up the space needed to sign Durant. Once we signed Durant, we no longer had the ability to exceed the cap to re-sign our FAs unless it's for the vet minimum. We have to completely remake the bench. Maybe we'll able to get Clark back for the minimum, but definitely not Speights.
David West was a nice signing, and we still have Iggy and Livingston on the 2nd unit. I'm really anxious to see what Looney can do, we might need him this year. Whatever we get from the rookies will be a huge bonus as well. Regardless, nobody is going to be able to compete with the Super Death Squad.
I want to see that rookie center ball out.

When you guys say second unit, there is no way in hell that two (at least one) of green, durant, Klay, and curry aren't out there.
There won't be a point while the game is competitive all four will be on bench. We can get serviceable guys as backups who can make a bucket if needed and play defense, but we don't need players that will be expected to carry the offense

exactly. theyre not going to get benched all at once. thats the beauty of being stacked like this. and if were making a run at history again this year, we can get it and still bench a player or two every night lol

eh, we knew this was gonna be the price to pay to land KD. Would you guys lose out on KD in order to keep Barbosa?

Yup. I'm sure Kerr will figure out the rotations. Stagger the minutes of the Big Four to make sure at least one or two of them out on the court at the same time. Finish each half with the Super Death Lineup.

I guess it's going to be Varejao or Speights along with the rook.

Vet big man Drew Gooden is bound for the open market, league sources say, with a cap crunch forcing the Wiz to relinquish his 2016-17 option

I know one or two of you have already mentioned it here...it would be great if Larry Sanders would consider a comeback with a team like the Warriors. He's only 27, a very athletic C, and a GREAT rim protector. It seems like he's missed the game and would consider a comeback with the right team per this article a few months ago in March:
Basketball Insiders: You mentioned you're in a better place, which leads to the big question that everyone is asking. Do you see yourself making an NBA comeback anytime soon?
Larry Sanders: "I could see myself coming back to the NBA and… I mean, I'll just leave it at that. I can't say too much. (laughs) I can see myself coming back there."
Basketball Insiders: Your name gets mentioned in rumors whenever a team needs a big man or is looking to make a free agency signing. Have teams been calling you or your camp to express interest?
Larry Sanders: "I'll say this: I understand who I am as a player and I know what I can bring to any team. Now that I've gotten the chance to watch a lot of basketball, I just know what I would do on that court. Even from an effort standpoint, I know I can [play harder than a lot of players]. With the kind of player that I am, I just don't see a team that couldn't use my services. But I will say, I think it would have to be a very good fit for the both of us.

I'm pissed Dedmon got away. I think our rookie can replicate some of the same things he does.
