This is what I'm also hoping with the rookie Jones. Just hope he recovers from his injury in time for the start of the season.

Yeah, I really hope he's ready, too. I was really looking forward to seeing him in summer league.

s**t, read this article talking about next years salary cap and how it will affect us signing our FA's next year.

It's only a projection to calm down piss of owners with the KD signing. The projection this year went above to what it was last year I think $6 million more.
The ultimate recruiter.

Sounds like it could be a problem, though. We'll have to wait and see how high it goes.

Might cost us Livingston after this year. What's worse is Iggy's CAP hold next year will be 16 mill, and even if we sign him for less I believe the CAP hold number is what goes against the CAP. I could be wrong, as that CAP stuff is confusing. Unless they renounce his hold knowing he will just sign back for a lower price. But he could go anywhere then with no compensation.

When you guys say second unit, there is no way in hell that two (at least one) of green, durant, Klay, and curry aren't out there.

There won't be a point while the game is competitive all four will be on bench. We can get serviceable guys as backups who can make a bucket if needed and play defense, but we don't need players that will be expected to carry the offense

This is a REALLY great point that every single person who has ANY reservation about our bench is clearly not thinking about.

I know one or two of you have already mentioned it here...it would be great if Larry Sanders would consider a comeback with a team like the Warriors. He's only 27, a very athletic C, and a GREAT rim protector. It seems like he's missed the game and would consider a comeback with the right team per this article a few months ago in March:

Basketball Insiders: You mentioned you're in a better place, which leads to the big question that everyone is asking. Do you see yourself making an NBA comeback anytime soon?

Larry Sanders: "I could see myself coming back to the NBA and… I mean, I'll just leave it at that. I can't say too much. (laughs) I can see myself coming back there."

Basketball Insiders: Your name gets mentioned in rumors whenever a team needs a big man or is looking to make a free agency signing. Have teams been calling you or your camp to express interest?

Larry Sanders: "I'll say this: I understand who I am as a player and I know what I can bring to any team. Now that I've gotten the chance to watch a lot of basketball, I just know what I would do on that court. Even from an effort standpoint, I know I can [play harder than a lot of players]. With the kind of player that I am, I just don't see a team that couldn't use my services. But I will say, I think it would have to be a very good fit for the both of us.

Good call! Was thinking about him a few days ago, wondering if he'll ever come back to the NBA. He had some depression issues iirc. Hope he's over that. Wouldn't mind giving him a look.

Nice! You can definitely see he has a lot of talent. His offensive game is a lot better than Festus' was coming out of college.
The Dubs do have 2 trade exceptions they can use to add salary.

$5.4 mil from the David Lee trade. Expires 7/27
$3.2 mil from the Gerald Wallace trade. Expires 7/31

Unlikely we'll get to use them, but they are there.

This. Even if it does stick to that mark, all it means is we're probably going to end up paying more luxury tax. I don't think it's going to threaten what we're trying to build here.
