The big man pool is down to almost nothing. Another guy gone although I doubt many knew of him. I would take a chance on Jordan Hill if he was interested. Good rebounder. Made 4M last year in Indiana.

No news regarding Varejao yet. My guess is now that most all of the alternative options are dried up, we could look into bringing him back. There's no real rush though, he doesn't have a market to speak of. Ideally he's a 3rd center.

Jordan Hill is one of the more accomplished front court players left. If he's the best we can do, so be it. He's got some talent, very good rebounder. But like Pachulia, offers very little rim protection.
My concern is we don't have a shot blocking presence on the roster until Jones is healthy and ready to contribute, which might not even be this year.

Is it possible that when we were told that we're getting a "good player" this week, the announcement was just referring to Zaza? He was officially signed today...

Yup, probably the case. Not much left in FA now

Adam Silver: Impact of Durant joining GSW a concern
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/17032907/adam-silver-says-kevin-durant-signing-golden-state-warriors-shows-need-change-league-cba
lol at Silver. This is payback for what transpired in the finals, particularly games 5 and 6.
One of the greatest fallacies in sports is the idea you can artificially create parity. Winners are formed by great management. Great management finds a way to out maneuver their opponents playing by whatever rules you want. We signed Durant under the same rules all other NBA teams play by. Everyone had equal opportunity to lure Durant, but only few properly put themselves in a position to pull it off. That's not our problem.
So go ahead and change the CBA. Lacob, Myers, and West will keep this team on top because they are a step ahead of the game. Kerr will keep this team running like a ferrari because he's a great coach and we have a great core of players.

Exactly! pretty stupid comment coming from silver, GSW found a way to make the money work by trading and renouncing their FA's. KD gave other teams chance to sign him but chose the warriors its a choice he made not like the warriors forced him to sigh with them. If he ended up with the Clippers that can also be called " Super Team" on paper with Paul,Blake and Jordan? Will the league cry then? Just because the warriors went to the finals 2 straight years don't mean they made it with an easy path. Warriors management is smart and planned 2 years ahead and made sure they have enough money to sign KD if he chose them. From what i remember couple of years ago when Donnie Walsh and the Knicks cleared cap space for Lebron but he chose the heat, Silver should tell the other teams to get a better front office and make their team good enough to compete so every team in the NBA will have a chance to get to the playoffs and NBA will be more competitive then. Warriors was built by drafting good players and hiring the right coach that created a system that works, it wasn't built through high priced FA like some teams do. NBA should take notes.. " Light years ahead " lmao

We sign one top FA and the league wants to change the script on us. We drafted our talent, we just now signed one BIG FA and the rest of our all stars we drafted for christ sake.
Leagues scared of us because we didn't have to hit FA for all our talent and the minute we get one huge FA they wet the bed, its rather annoying. I just feel like this wouldn't be such a big deal (talks of changing the CBA, downgrading cap projections all of a sudden) if it were happening in NY, LA etc.

Durant chose to sign with us.
Isn't that the point of Free Agency? You can sign where-ever you want and now the owners want to change that?
Doubt the players consent to that. Slippery slope of the owners push for that

Players should start banking their checks now, because I see another lockout on the horizon.

No way the players union agrees to a hard CAP. And any other tweaking would affect other teams besides the Warriors. I agree with what someone said above. The Warriors will out manage any other team right now, regardless of the rules.

Silvers hilarious. Yall fit Durant in and it's not like he took some huge pay cut.
