And the Warriors actually have a lower payroll than if they had kept Ezeli and Barnes.

To me the guys who take significantly less than they're worth to be on winners are more of a concern. To be clear it's free agency and I have zero problems with players choosing where they want to play. What's Durant making around 25 million? That's around his market value I'd assume. David west signing for 1.5 when he could get 10-15 in this market is a massive pay cut for him. But he did it to win and will be excellent depth for gsw.

Durant will be making just over 26M I believe. How can you force someone to not take a huge cut in salary if they want to be part of a great team and win a ring. West has done it twice now in the past two years and I can't fault anyone for sacrificing money for happiness.

Agreed
Of the below Centers available, I'm curious to read responses on which could be seen as good fits for the Warriors to fill one of the two remaining roster spots? Ideally, it would be a rim protector - I like most of you would say Larry Sanders if both he and the Warriors were mutually interested. Many of the below are not that type of player, though, but could still offer something to give the Warriors more depth at the position (who knows exactly when the rookie Jones will first be healthy and then, ready to contribute). Also, outside of the below, I wonder if there are any trade possibilities out there (hello Philly and all their big men? I hear the asking price is way up there and also teams know they're trying to trade).

Larry Sanders
Anderson Varejao
JaVale McGee
Kendrick Perkins
Jordan Hill
Christian Wood
Semih Erden
just go with Kuzmic? (had a pretty good game last night but otherwise has not impressed in Summer League)

Any others?

Warriors dont have a match with Philly for any deal. We arent going to trade one of our Big 4 and they wouldnt have interest in anyone else for one of their young centers.

Kuzmic is not the answer. Slow and hasnt improved. Perkins is old and basically washed up.

The best player is Sanders if Myers, Lacob, and company think he is worth the risk. My guess is Varejao comes back though.
First time in his tenure I have really had an issue with Silver.

How are you gonna look at what the Warriors did this offseason and b***h about competitive balance, when you have teams like the 76ers who dont even try to get better. You have the same teams tanking year in and year out, yet the competitive balance problem is because of Durant's signing?

Give me a break.
Silver is getting flak from other owners and GMs who aren't as good at their jobs as the Warriors are.

Players get s**t for leaving good teams for more money and they get s**t for taking pay cuts to leave for good teams.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Thats why you just follow your heart.

Yeah, the Philly mention is just a pipedream, having Noel back there swatting away shots (I'm the guy who kept hoping the Giants could somehow get Chapman as a Closer). The Warriors are set with their Big 4 - it will be interesting to see who they add to fill out their depth at C. Last year, they had Ezeli, Varejao and occasionally Speights that they could throw in there behind Bogut. This year, Kuzmic isn't the answer - I agree. I'm just not thrilled on the idea of Varejao coming back but he may be the direction they go with limited options out there. If Sanders is serious again about basketball and could fit in with what the Warriors have going (big IFs), it would be great to have him aboard.

Yeah in the NBA you only need like 7-8 good players to make a serious run.

We drafted well (Green, Thompson, Curry) and picked up good mid level free agents/trades (Iggy, Livingston, West , Zaza) and got a ONE FA stud (Durant).

Scratch Jordan Hill off the list.
Geez, what's with all the hand-wringing over the Warriors, aka "super team"? The core of this team is home-grown, Iguodala acquired in a trade...and they did LOSE some key pieces.

They signed ONE guy (well some others too, but we know it's all about KD)...he was a FA, if he didn't go back to OKC, he was going to sign somewhere, so why all the pissing & moaning the Warriors have the players, owner, FO that impressed him he decided to come here? I could be wrong, but don't recall this level of bed-wetting when James went back to Cavs and then swung deal for Love.

Thank you! One BIG signing to a conventionally built roster and suddenly it's bad for the NBA? Boo fricken hoo.
Draymond thing is pretty interesting

Now the dude will be pressing charges, and claimed he was punched and his GF was assaulted, by two of greens associates.

Yet, most witness reports say dude was the aggressor...

Looks like someone close to him was like "Get paid young n***a get paid"
