This offseason, yeah, not much time off. 3 seasons ago they got bounced in the 2nd round and then he had the whole offseason off. 2 seasons ago he went to the finals but then had the whole offseason off. This past season was his toughest going from the finals and then into USA play. It's not unheard of. He probably is tired from this season, but trying to stick a 3 year label doesn't really make sense.

Klay Thompson Rio shooting stats: 4-26 from the field (15.4%), 3-16 from three (18.8%)

China: 1-6 FG, 0-3 from three
Venezuela: 0-5 FG, 0-4 from three
Australia: 2-9 FG, 2-6 from three
Serbia: 1-6 FG, 1-3 from three

The luxury tax on that roster might be triple of the actual salaries they'd be paying.

And that's just what the Lakers used to do. Then the league kept changing the rules every chance they had to stop them from doing it. Now the luxury tax is astronomical to try and stop teams from going way over. Owners like Dan Gilbert would cry to the league and press that it wasn't fair for teams to just pay up to build great teams. Now he's doing the same thing with the cavs but suddenly not crying foul over it. lol

Yup. Changing the rules every time a team jumps out ahead of the pack is pretty pointless to me. Everybody plays by the same set of rules. It comes down to players. Whoever has a Top 3-5 NBA player is going to be able to build a championship roster around them and dominate everyone else. Everyone else is on the outside looking in. Rules are never going to change that.

This. He's got incredible endurance, but he's literally gone 3 calendar years with very little breaks. Wish he took the summer off tbh.

Dan Gilbert is one of the biggest hypocrite in the NBA. Dude basically b!tch and moan when Lebron left Cleveland and he is the first one to beg him to come back again lol. Basically being Lebrons b!tch.
