barnes, dray, and festus in the same draft... still amazes me

Curry in 09 Klay in 11 and this trifecta in 12. Amazing.

Thank God for Jerry West.

Has there ever been a draft like that in NBA history? I am not much of a NBA guy but NBA draft picks don't have the same impact NFL guys do. Heck, 1st round picks are usually busts in the NBA from my experience.

I cannot remember getting 3 players this good in the same NBA draft. 2nd round picks are more misses than hits as our late first rounders. No, this was a very rare occurence.

Looking back at that draft I think you can say that all 3 would be top 7 or 8 picks for sure if there was a redraft
1) Anthony Davis
2) Andre Drummond
3) Damian Lillard
4) Draymond Green
5) Bradley Beal
6) Festus Ezeli
7) Harrison Barnes

Add to that the tank job they did to secure the Barnes pick. Trading away a peak Monta for a broken center. Sitting Curry and Lee. Masterful.

and they got the #1 pick to draft Ezeli by trading Stephen Jackson to the Spurs.

lol awesome

I feel like I've waited as long as the black astronaut in Interstellar had to wait for his copilots to return to the ship..

Warriors fans deserve all of this. Too bad most of the Lakers thread regulars don't post as much. Oh wait, Sus can EAD
Is Draymond standing on something? He looked bigger than Festumus Maximus.

CaNt wait for tonight. I know it wont be a 50 point win but I fully expect to run the Grizz off their own court.
Cousins a future Warrior?

Omg he would kill this team I think. Sort of do not want.

I was pondering the same thing. The cost would be high. Ezeli would need to be included I'm sure, and either some other players or some draft picks ... or both. But would you dare to mess with the Warrior chemistry? Cousins has a rep. But on the bright side I think Cousins is under contract through 2018 at a fair rate. I would hate to lose Ezeli, but they may lose him anyway. Cousins with the Warriors has dynasty potential though. Just thinking about it gives me chills.

I agree. We are talking a defending championship team that can win 60+ games. Not to mention a group that has amazing team chemistry and not an idiot among them. Why would we want a potential cancer like Cousins to ruin it all? Answer.. we wouldnt.

Agreed. We don't need him.

Where did that rumor come from.

I know I read an article this morning talking about maybe trading Cousins. Although that article never mentioned the Warriors as a potential trade partner. I think it may have been a Boston writer because he mainly talked about the Celtics. The Celtics do have many picks the next few years being the possible lucrative thing for the Kings.

Cousins would find a way to annoy Curry. Keep him far away.
Steph's a squirrelly little b*****d.
Ezeli has about as good of hands as Vernon Davis.
