I think its a must that the Warriors sign Ezeli to a long term deal. I honestly dont care if Barnes leaves after this year if it comes down to signing one or the other. Barnes can be replaced while finding someone with the skills and size of Festus would be very difficult

Nice to start off with a win, although with a depleted Pels roster and Davis having a bad night that should've been a 25-pt win... even in 4th with starters in for much of the period Warriors played some slop-a** ball. Thank goodness for Steph Curry tonight.
And speaking of Davis, was that Gentry's plan to utilize him more, to have him floating around on the perimeter taking like 20 jumpers? I thought he had a real opportunity to do work inside, I'm glad Gentry did not see it that way.
So @Houston on Friday, think Curry might have a little something extra for the whiner Harden and dumba** Ty Lawson.

Great win to start the year. Dubs did what they always seem to do. Dominate at home. Curry in top form right from the start.
Offense still functioning at a high level, just have to cut down on the turnovers. That's always going to be a challenge with the way we play ball. It'll get cleaned up after they play some more games, just like last year.
Defense was very good for the most part. They did an excellent job on Davis, at one point holding him to 1-16 shooting, 4-20 overall. Job well done.
I was also very impressed with Ezeli. Very active on both ends of the floor, Want to see him get an extension, he's our future at Center.

I feel for Luke Walton. He is almost in a no win situation. In the post game presser he looked totally spent, and it is only the first game. He is good in front of a mic though, and is head coaching material down the line I think. Hopefully Kerr is back sooner than later. Wicked schedule to start the season too.

Thought so as well, but the Pelicans had nobody.
If they go inside, defenders can cheat and crash Davis. He is a dominant player but still needs guards to help him.

I know they pretty much had to bring guys in off the street to field a team but you'd think at least one of them could run a PnR, I don't think they even tried one with AD...to me he's just not a guy like KD that can be on the perimeter with the ball in his hands that long, as you say he needs guards to help. Holiday being on a minutes limit and no B2B's doesn't help...Gentry's got his work cut out for him.

Curry, Ezeli, and Bogut played well. I cant really say that for the rest of the team. Klay and Barnes in particular played poorly in my opinion and they are the 2 guys who have to play with more consistency this year. But a win is a win and its never easy to win that ring ceremony game.
