2015-16 Los Angeles Lakers Thread

It's not a guarantee we get a top 3, and if we don't it's going to the 76ers then. But if we get #1 or #2, unless it's straight up for Boogie, then I rather take Simmons or Ingram, instead of having to give up the pick, and probably JC and Randle.
lmao they are going nuts in the Warriors thread

Well lakers are looking good for a top 3 pick, even if we do pass Phoenix for the worst record Brooklyn is at 18 wins and playing weaker east competition. Minnesota is at 20 wins. lakers will be at 13 wins if they beat the Warriors.
1. Sixers (8 wins )
2. Lakers (12 wins currently w/o warriors game )
3 . Phoenix ( 16 wins )
4 . Brooklyn (18 wins )
5. Minnesota (20 wins )
lmao. biggest upset ever?
lol I'm speechless at tonight.

I mean, this loss should be pointless to the Dubs unless they finish year 71-11. But to us, it is nice to see the team play well but the Dubs missed A LOT of open shots. A LOT. They haven't had a cold game all year and they finally had one.

Will be interesting to see if the boys gain some momentum from this and start putting together some complete games moving forward. Although, to be honest, I want close competitive losses still at this point. Keeping our pick just gives us one more asset to play with.

I hope the anti-tank win doesn't cost them in the Simmons sweepstakes.

I haven't watched much of the team this year so a couple of questions fellas.

What player, past or present would you guys compare Russell to?

Is Randle improving?

What's Larry Nance's outlook?

Russell is a tough comparison. No one really jumps out.

He's a bigger guard that can see/shoot over guys, but isn't as athletic as his predecessors. My first instinct would be Ginobli or Penny, but he's probably less athletic while being a better shooter than those two. His body has caught up a bit over the course of the year. He definitely looks different today than it did at the beginning of the year so I'm hoping that continues and he's above average with his quickness in year 2.

To me Russell is alot like Harden, but leans more PG while Harden leans more SG. He's crafty getting to the rim instead of explosive and has a good set shot with a high release rather than a jump shot to get shots up over defenders. Once he gets consistent scoring options around him, his PG skills should shine through.

Randle has gotten alot better over the course of the year. He's pretty much a lock to be a solid starting PF, one of 9 guys averaging a double double i believe. He's shown flashes of all star caliber play as well. The ball seems to come off his palm rather than his finger tips, so he never gets friendly bounces off the rim so he'll really need to improve his release around the rim and on his jump shot to be a consistent all star level player.

Nance showed some really signs of being a contributor off the bench before he tweaked his ankle and lost some of his bounce. I'd guess he becomes a Taj Gibson type contributor on a playoff team. I have trouble seeing him being much better than that.
Holy s**t, back to back wins. wtf? lol

The "young" big 3 with 20 points each. First time that's ever happened.

Russell: 27 pts with 3,3,2

Clarkson: 23 pts with 5,3

Randle: 24 pts with 11,2,1

Ok, that's enough winning guys. Really. You proved your point.
Hey, seriously...stop the winning here guys lol.
CHAMPIONs**t!!!!

Last time 3 players under the age of 23 all scored over 20 points in one game, was...

Durant, Westbrook, and Harden.
