i was just happy that Byron let the players shoot 3s and was spacing the floor. i'm not gonna expect a Spurs like offense from Byron. but ya, hopefully we have more in our playbook then just iso, iso, iso, iso.

lol our standards are so low.

Yeah in a game where the young guys really showed up, Kobe looked terrible out there. He needs to play a lot more efficiently.

I wouldn't mind Marcelo starting actually and playing Russell on the second unit to create more for Lou and Young. I know he wasn't very efficient with the second line, I believe in time it'll work out.

well, you know Kobe won't come off the bench, so either Clarkson or Russel needs to. it sucked to see Russel play last night, the guy rarely got to touch the ball.

They need to stagger Clarkson/Russell/Huertas. I think Russell could play with Huertas or Clarkson if we have plays for him off the ball and have him as a spot-up shooter. Otherwise, boy needs the ball in his hands.
another season of unwatchable basketball these aint the lakers Im used to watching.

Perhaps but look at it this way...... they are more watchable than the 49ers.

2015-16 isnt going to be the Lakers year but they have some young talent and could contend next year. They simply need to get one more top 10 prospect, see Kobe walk into the sunset, and use the money they will have to land a big time FA. I could see things turning around pretty quickly next year if those things happen.

They aren't making the playoffs this year but all things must come to an end. The future is brighter than the present.

for us to make the playoffs this year with the current roster, it would take an injury free season and our young guys able to play consistent basketball for 82 games. it's a long shot, wouldn't bet on it.

There's a better chance of the 49ers finishing this year with a .500 or better record than the Lakers making the playoffs. Not to be all sus about stuff, but I think that's the honest truth.

Especially in the West. The chase for the 8th seed is gonna be intense.

I think there are 6 teams that are absolute locks to make the playoffs as long as they have health.. OKC, SA, GS, Hou, Mem, and LAC. The final 2 spots could be wide open this year.
I was very pleased with Randle's play. He plays aggressive and ain't afraid of the ball. Got right in Garnett's face, too. He's got one ghetto eye that's a little squinty. I like that crazy eye. lol
Too bad Kobe didn't hang them up already. This team would be better off without an aged former superstar hogging the ball. He will just hinder the young player development this year, because his ego will never let him not dominate the spotlight, ball, etc. Although if yo ugo by recent history he will probably not make it through the season anyway.

ya he does
@MarkG_Medina: Both Byron and Kobe brought up the idea about putting D'Angelo back at PG

@Billoram: Lakers flipping backcourt to make Russell primary ballhandler again. Kobe: "That's what we brought him here to do & he's phenomenal at it."

@SerenaWinters: D'Angelo Russell was back to handling the ball at practice today. Kobe: "That's what he does best is organize the offense."

@Lakers: Byron Scott says he'll have D'Angelo Russell handle the ball more moving forward.

thank you.

even if he's not ready to put up 20 points and 10 assists, he needs to be given that opportunity. the FO can't fool themselves thinking we have a shot at a ship or going deep in the playoffs, our young guys need to be the focal point of the offense, not kobe.

hell, they are giving mudiay (sp?) the green light in the denver, they should be doing the same for russel.
