2015-16 Los Angeles Lakers Thread

I'll tell you that when I saw Kobe in the low 40's and had jacked up 40+ shots, I was thinking about how sad it is.

BUT, man, dude got into the zone in those last 2 minutes and the Mamba struck hard with some clutch shots and the win. Those last two minutes were vintage Kobe. Not easy shots either.

Didn't really catch the vibe of his speech. No reference to current and former teammates, laughing at his own jokes,...could have been better.

Same here. When Kobe hit 40, I was shaking my head at how stupid it was that he was just throwing everything up there with no gameplan or strategy at all. Just wanted points.

But then he came through in the end and it was awesome.

I still can't stand Kobe's demeanor and ridiculous ego.

edit:

His Wife looked like she cut out a picture of Kim K from Cosmo and tried to copy it.

Kobe's daughter was pretty funny when she was cheering Kobe on. But that handshake thing after the game was so staged, lol. 99% of this farewell tour was stupid as hell. But the 1% of it (the actual end of the game) was awesome.

How's the butthurt level today?

Pretty high. Mostly because of 50 shot attempts, it seams. Apparently one should shoot 75% when scoring 60 points. lol
99 is still butthurt

Apparently championship teams only have 1 great player
Sad.

Says the guy bragging about the Phillies "best rotation in baseball" after 9 games.

I dont give enough of a crap about basketball to get butthurt over what Kobe does. I was just pointing out that his 60 pts. were in a pre-season/all star game level of no1curr environment.
Imagine if he actually tried that hard all season instead of just smiling and waving. Lakers might have actually got some wins. Oh well, at least he collected those checks the last few years.

He is saving his energy for his 2nd career. He is launching an entertainment and writing company so that he can write novels and screen plays and make billions.

If he attempted to play like that for the full season he would of probably broke down in the first 12 games. You can tell he was already hurting pretty bad in the 3rd quarter.
Steph Curry quote:

"I didn't even know about (the story), so I didn't have time to really have a reaction," Curry said. "But one, you don't want to disrespect the teams like the Spurs and the Lakers, franchises that have obviously won multiple championships and established that top tier kind of winning mentality every single year and you know they're going to be around. We want to be that team. We want to be that franchise. We have some work to do, and obviously we're on the right path. But we have to be ourselves in the whole process, and not really worry about speaking (about) more than what we're doing out there on the floor."

Good to see that we're still associated with a franchise that has a "top tier kind of winning mentality every single year" despite us sucking like we've never sucked before over the past three years. I was honestly surprised to see him mention us. Maybe it's just history or him being PC. Regardless, nice to see the league's best player acknowledge our franchise as something greater than what the last three years have been.

What story is he referring to?
