Clarkson looks sick.
Clarkson is sick, Randle and Russell will be sick. Also Hibbert is a great defensive anchor. The problem is the Lakers lack size right now. Nothing behind Hibbert.

There's some truth to this lol. Although, there are moments where he's still playing ISO-ball and hoisting shots. They just aren't as prevalent as I think they've been in the past.
And at what point do we fire Byron? Ever since Phil has left we've had such a bad run with coaches that I feel like we're somewhat obligated to give people their due time. Like, we start to look like a deathtrap for coaches if we're firing them all after two years. At the same time, Byron Scott clearly has no idea what he's doing and has put together an incompetent staff if no one is stepping in and addressing this. Scheme and rotations are like his priority 1a and 1b and the f**k are we seeing?
What's the deal with Thibs? Anyone have any knowledge as to why he doesn't have a gig? Any gossip inside NBA circles that's preventing him from getting a job or is he just waiting for the right opportunity? I'd love Thibs here along with a real offensive minded guru to scheme the O. I hate to say this...but D'Antoni could probably do some good with this roster. Not saying we bring him back, but just saying.
Speaking of coaches...man, I'm so jealous of Boston with Stevens. That guy has those scrubs looking like a f**king team and he has since day 1. They may have had the most impressive 0-4 playoff series loss I've ever seen lol.

I agree with this. Best thing the Warriors did is trade Monte let Curry develop and tank for Klay.

lol, sorry but Ellis is no Kobe. you guys are crazy if you think our young players don't love being around and learning from Kobe. on top of that, Mitch would probably get killed if he traded Kobe for some scrub or some future 2nd round pick, because you aint getting anything else.
Kobe will adjust and be less involved the more and more Russel gets more comfortable.

my biggest fear for the future, even if Russel turns out to be an all-star type PG, and same happens with Clarkson and Randle, our defense is still going to be s**t. we would need a Deandre Jordan like C and a Kawhi Leornard type SF to even have a decent defense.

I didn't say trade Kobe that would be stupid for the Lakers. I meant that it would be best for the Lakers if Kobe retire next year he is holding the team back. I just use the trade of Ellis as an example on how he held the Warriors back especially Curry. He commanded the ball too much just like Kobe.

This is Kobe's last year for sure. Has to be. So, I don't think he will hold back the core of Randle, Clarkson and Russell for years.
In regards to Scott, how can this guy keep the job all year unless they see some major changes. I just mean effort wise. I know I've only seen one game and the Lakers have only played two, but they didn't even try on defense and were jogging back on fast breaks. That has got to fall on the coach.

After the game Kobe said he is taking a back seat and letting the kids develop. Even last night he wanted to try and take over but he said he can't do that this year. Its up to the kids to develop and he is there to help that development this year. I think even he knows that he can't come back next year. This has to be it for Kobe. I think if he keeps this attitude it'll help the young kids on the team for this year.

I think they'll stick with Byron until the team is ready to take the next step.

If he is really willing to take a back seat he should come off the bench lol. Let Russell and Clarkson start to build their chemistry.

f**k no man. Even if he is a shell of himself, you don't disrespect an all time great like that on his team. Clarkson will probably end up with more overall minutes at the end of the year, but Kobe starts if healthy.

Of course Kobe is better than Clarkson I am just saying if he is really serious let Clarkson start over him and cheer on the young guys on the team just like KG.

Idk where Kobe is at this point. There will be games where Kobe is better and vice versa. I just think you start Kobe on basic principle. Also, starting is overrated by fans. Like I said, Clarkson will end up with more minutes anyways.
