If Chad Kelly is worth anything, he has to score on this drive.

He is like a streak shooter. If he is on, he is on. If it's not going his way he is mentally checked out.

7 Southeastern Conference teams lost their season openers for the 1st time since 1992.

I'm not a big fan of giving a "Credit" for ranking teams in the pre-season. Too much of the pre-season rank influences voters. Should be based on who beat the best competition and looked good doing it. And a boost to the teams that made it tough in week 1 for the winners to reward teams for tough out of conference scheduling.
I'd rank them as:
1. Alabama
2. Florida State
3. Clemson
4. Houston
5. Georgia
6. Wisconsin
7. Texas
8. Texas A&M
9. Ohio State
10. Michigan
11. Stanford
12. Washington
13. Ole Miss
13. Oklahoma
14. Auburn
15. North Carolina
16. LSU
17. Notre Dame
18. UCLA
19. Colorado
20. West Virginia
21. Nebraska
22. BYU
23. Louisville
24. Tennessee
25. Boise State

While I know you must have been happy to drop OSU after scoring 77, no way should A&M move to #8 from unranked after beating #16 at home (among other issues). But I do agree preseason rankings are reaaallyyy dumb (and mostly serve to reinforce SEC bias, but that's another story).

You are missing the entire point. IMO pre-season rankings should be basically meaningless. Thus the argument A&M is unranked and UCLA is only #16 is meaningless. What I know is UCLA looked like a legit team and will likely do well. A&M beat them, they deserve credit for that.
Ohio State murdered a good non-major conference team. Its a meaningful murder, but not an impressive win.Its not like Bowling Green was Houston.
Ohio State faces Oklahoma soon, and should they win that game then yeah they do have a case for being a top 5 team.
Meanwhile Wisconsin beat LSU. What means more to you? Wisconsin beating LSU or Ohio State murdering Bowling Green? IMO a win over LSU....
edit: I think rankings, espicailly in the first 5 weeks should be more fluid/flexible and less rigid based on pre-season rankings.
