A lot of Superstars/alpha males have called out their teammates...it goes with the territory. Jordan and Kobe did it publicly...just yesterday Wade and Butler did it. CP3 has done it...Larry Bird called his teammates sissies to the reporters and he was playing with HOFers lol

True, but LeBron's criticisms don't seem to match the reality. It's not like the Cavs haven't spent the money or haven't been aggressive in improving the roster. They've been the league's biggest spenders over the last 3 years. They've build the roster exactly to LeBron's specifications. They went out and got the players he wanted, and re-signed the guys he wanted. At some point you do get maxed out with that you can do to realistically improve the roster.

LeBron knows the franchise is completely at his mercy, so he's going to say whatever he wants and put the pressure on them, that much I get. I just think his criticisms are unfounded and he's being called out on it by most.

I know but I'm like you said it's January. People are worn out cause it's the mid point of the season. Every team goes through these patches but to do this in January and call out his owner and GM is ridiculous. Gilbert has totally done everything he can to make Lebron happy and Lebron keeps pushing it. I know he's still sore about how things happened during his last run in Cleveland but Gilbert has spent so much to make that team great around Lebron and he doesn't seem to appreciate it at all.

The ironic thing about James tirade is that a big part of it is his own making, no? He insisted that Thompson and Smith be signed (overpaid). There is a reason that players should not be GM's. With better CAP management they probably could have kept Delly.

road game on a back to back. Not even close

Agreed. You think he will get fined for ripping the GM and his teammates? LOL

not as shocking as having the best NBA record ever and blowing a 3-1 lead in the finals

Don't see how it's better to call your HOF teammates sissies during NBA finals. Plus, guys like Larry Bird, MJ, Kobe called out their teammates and FO regardless of time of the year. But, this is something Lebron said so it's going to get blown out by the media. Like I said - Wade and Butler just called out their teammates yesterday.

Anyway, for two seasons Gilbert did what he promised Lebron when he decided to come back to Cleveland. But, this season to save couple million bucks - they didn't waive Mo Williams (who they tried to force into retirement) and played the season without backup PG. Lebron wanted Cavs to sign couple of vets to minimum deals but Cavs decided to give contracts to McCrae and Felder (and Liggins) to save a few hundred thousand dollars.

Gilbert's team valuation doubled when Lebron signed with Cavs. He spent money because it was smart business move not because he all of a sudden transformed into a great owner. He's a cut-throat businessman and because Lebron signed a 3 year deal - he's once again trying to cut corners.

But I find it ironic that media and many NBA fans keeps disrespecting the Cavs FO and owners (and coaches) by calling Lebron the real owner and GM (and HC) but if he calls them out - it's horrible lol

Lebron could have kept it in house but he has used media to motivate his team before. Will it work - we will find out. But, no - ownership didn't do everything they could this season. They tried to save 4-5 million dollars which makes no sense whatsoever.

Makes sense when he's traded to the Cavs.

Tough to get everyone in when they limit the rosters to 12 players. I have no idea why they dont make the roster at least 13 like they do for teams during the year.

Embiid... it was between Millsap and him I would guess. I think Millsap was deserving and the fact that Embiid sits out so many games didnt help him

Gobert.. to me this is the biggest snub. It was basically between Jordan and Gobert and while Jordan is deserving I think Gobert has been a defensive game changer this season. I would have gone with Rudy.

Glad to see 4 Dubs make the team. I wasnt sure Klay would make it.
