lol

So he's getting ready to become a Laker along with Paul George to try and take out Golden State as a direct division rival.
I look at people who follow players instead of a team the same way Steve Harvey looks at atheists. Like where is your moral barometer?

Because it's a team sport, not a player sports. It's weird.

But why are you obsessed with what we do?

in the NBA, 1 player can literally take over a game and carry. And that's fun to watch. In comparison to other sports, it's not as much of a team game.
NBA is more about superstars than any other team sport.

Nike spends millions of dollars in marketing Jordan shoes, Lebron shoes, Durant shoes not Bulls, Cavs, or Warriors shoes.

League advertises the best matchups as matchups among the best superstars.

Get off your high horse. You like doing it one way...I don't. Move along.

But it's a player driven league. That's why so many players are taking their careers and their legacy in their own hands instead of leaving it in the hands of management. That's why so many greats retired back in the day ringless whereas the top players in this era are not sitting back hoping their GM can build a championship team around them. Basketball is a team sport but one player can change a franchise and that is what LeBron is capable of doing. So it wouldn't matter if he up and left to Brooklyn, he would make Brooklyn competitive and worth watching. Just is what it is. My favorite team is the Kings but their season is typically over after the All-Star break year in and year out. It's nice to have a favorite player that you can watch year around in meaningful games while he chases history damn near every game. If it ever came to a point where the Kings met the King in the Championship series, of course I would root for my team because I want them to get a championship and I've watched LeBron do it 3 times so far.....but I'm not confident that I will be in that predicament anytime soon, if ever

Why would he give up his free pass to the finals every year to come to the west?

I dont think he will leave Cleveland twice. If he truly wants to win titles he can take a LOT less money and get better players to come in. It isnt like he needs the money given that he made 55M this year alone from endorsements and has a net worth well over 1/4 of a billion dollars. If championships is truly what he wants he can be like Tim Duncan or Dirk and sacrifice for the good of the team and his # of titles.

Lebron can make $1 next year and Cavs will not be able to hand out any bigger contract than they can now.

How is Stud or anyone on their "high horse" if they dont understand the infatuation with rooting for one player over a team. No one is "obsessed" with what you do or who you root for. I dont believe he singled you out anyway but talked about fans in general that root for a player over a team. I do think the vast amount of people are more about the team than one individual player even if the NBA does promote their superstars.

That may be true because of their bad decisions. You would know everything about Lebron obviously more than I would. They could have Andrew Wiggins right now on his rookie contract and not paid really stupid contracts to JR Smith and Tristian Thompson in order to make Lebron happy. Let's be real here. I seriously doubt any decision is made in Cleveland without James blessing.

I get leaving a city once to chase a title but TWICE?

if I were to root for the Cavs I'd be a straight up bandwagoner. Even though I was born in San Fran/Cali, I don't root for the warriors because I'm not big enough of a basketball fan to care. However somebody like LeBron is fun to watch and I just never understood the hate he gets. s**t maybe the fact he gets scrutinized to death is WHY I root for him and want him to succeed. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah they are strapped. At least they got 1 out of the deal because without moving some significant pieces around and getting creative, they don't have a lot of options as far upgrading the roster. RJ, and both Joneses need to retire and they need to try to add some versatile wing defenders at vet minimum. Their defense was garbage this year
