But it's a player driven league. That's why so many players are taking their careers and their legacy in their own hands instead of leaving it in the hands of management. That's why so many greats retired back in the day ringless whereas the top players in this era are not sitting back hoping their GM can build a championship team around them. Basketball is a team sport but one player can change a franchise and that is what LeBron is capable of doing. So it wouldn't matter if he up and left to Brooklyn, he would make Brooklyn competitive and worth watching. Just is what it is. My favorite team is the Kings but their season is typically over after the All-Star break year in and year out. It's nice to have a favorite player that you can watch year around in meaningful games while he chases history damn near every game. If it ever came to a point where the Kings met the King in the Championship series, of course I would root for my team because I want them to get a championship and I've watched LeBron do it 3 times so far.....but I'm not confident that I will be in that predicament anytime soon, if ever
