lol. so Cavs are just supposed to stand pat and act like this series was a fluke? don't blame them one bit for trying to get another all star type player to match them.

Naw but he can stfu and stop pretending he was never on one and stop acting as if he doesn't always try to add all stars to his team.

Dan Gilbert didn't consult with LeBron James prior to parting with David Griffin, sources said. James had advocated for Griffin extension

Cleveland better hope they somehow get Butler or PG or someone.

This just isn't looking good right now.

Dan Gilbert is incompetent. LeBron might just bounce after next season.

I (and I think most people) figured he would bounce if the Cavs don't win it all next year.

This is just the nail in the coffin, IMO. ASSUMING they don't win the title, he's pretty much gone.
Le Bron will be at the LA Lakers by the 2018 season.

If I am a Cavs fan I would be pissed right now. I also don't think he has much love with Gilbert. I don't think he forgotten the letter he wrote and how he trash Lebron on National TV lol. If the reports are all true Lebron might really leave unless they win it all next year.

I was curious and decided to look. You have to go back to 1972 when Portland took LaRue Martin #1. His team, Loyola of Chicago, went 8-14 his Senior year. They took him one pick before Bob McAdoo was selected. Maybe they should pass on Fultz afterall. lol

s**t lol good research though

The Cavs and general manager David Griffin will part ways according to sources

According to the rumors going around Gilbert and Griffith didn't share the same vision for the team going forward. It's always a bad idea if the owner gets involve how to run a team. Just look at the niners. Jed think he is the sh!t that got us to the superbowl .

Apparently Gilbert has never extended a GM...wow

This. LeBron and him don't have a good relationship, LeBron went back to CLE because he is CLE and he had unfinished business. Gilbert not extending LeBron's boy doesn't surprise me at all

What a b***h move by Gilbert

Griffin is/was a great GM. Can't believe he wasn't renewed.

Hope Lebron leaves this b***h ass owner again.

This is the reason that Lebron may leave after next season. As soon as he knows his team cant compete with Boston he will take his talents elsewhere. Its going to be an interesting off season but if Boston can trade for Butler and sign Haywood look out.

They'll soon be paying Horford and IT 30million each.

Is he? The reason the cavs are successful is because of one player. The gm and coach haven't mattered... if anything the team overcame Lue's s**t coaching

Horford is locked up for the next 2 years at under 30M. In 2019-20 he has a player option for 30.1M. Right now they are in a much better financial situation than Cleveland thats for sure and can easily add star players (which the Cavs probably cant do without trading Love or Kyrie)

I think Griffin is solid. I do think he failed to address the playmakers for the bench the Cavs desperately needed. Too many 1 trick specialists on that roster, despite LeBron bringing the need for more playmakers up early in the regular season. Obviously that was a glaring hole and has been for the last 3 years as CLE is just unable to function 9 times out of 10 when LeBron has to sit. Outside of that, Griffin was very solid.

28m next season for Horford...that's close enough.

Of course they're in better financial situation - they have 1 all-star on the team...and they've yet to pay him. They can add only one max player this summer and once they extend IT they'll be maxed out.

They can trade for players but you've to then start sending players in return to match salaries.
