Now gotta offload Deng's contract.
Deng and Clarson combine to make $30M. Trade that and Lakers can add 3 max deals next summer.

But, D'Lo to off load that? That's tough. Could have traded picks in the future or gotten something better in return than a late 1st.
it's tough. we are trading away Dlo and a contract for a 27th pick basically. but, Dlo isn't the answer, and we had to do something about those horrible contracts we gave Mozgov and Deng.

Woj reporting that move is a long term thing to free up space. For LBJ and George. With Ball at PG
They didn't care about Russell, wanted to get rid of Mozgov's contract.

Nobody is touching that Deng contract.

Freeing up space only makes sense if they do something with that space. For like 3 straight years we heard about the Lakers being linked to every single premier NBA free agent and in the end all they got out of it were grotesquely overpriced deals for Mozgov and Deng.

Yea...well it'll be worth it if you guys can land PG and Lebron.

Marc Stein(@ESPNSteinLine)
Can the Lakers now land Paul George by offering Thursday's No. 27 and 28 picks and either Julius Randle or Jordan Clarkson? They're trying.

Cavs fans must be sh!tting their pants lol. There's also a report if Lebron leaves Kyrie will demand a trade.

Deng and Mozgov's contract were pretty much the same. Deng is making 2M more with 3 years left. Mozgov had 3 years left too.
A team like Nets or Magic should take on that contract along with couple of 1st rounders. They're not gonna compete for next few years. Might as well take on a bad contract and collect couple young players from those picks.

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt
Per source, Jimmy Butler has informed Cavs that he wants to stay in Chicago rather than be traded to Cleveland

Man... Cavs might be screwed if they don't get PG or Butler.
I despise them but seeing a franchise fall down so quickly is sad to watch (probably because we as 49ers fans are... ahem "familiar" with the situation) and we might be seeing the beginning of that.

Cleveland is going back into the dumpster just as soon as LeBron leaves.
