Griffin, Paul opt out - become free agents.

jerry west knows he can't win with them

full rebuild mode

It doesn't have anything to do with Jerry West. It was their decision and everyone knew they'll opt out.

True, but they brought him in with the idea of they are rebuilding and they want his input in the draft and FA.

That is fine but it has nothing to do with Paul and Griffin opting out.

ya thats just DR smoking too much again

Suns pick Josh Jackson sending a message to all the teams that passed him up on draft day and is intent on making them pay. Dude...... you were picked 4th overall! The Sixers, Lakers, and Celtics are now on notice.

If Hayward leaves Utah, I will be totally devastated. Basically we have no chance, ever. It's been a 5 season rebuild and I feel Dennis Lyndsey has been damn near perfect with building through the draft and FA. Hayward will leave to become another super team and that's that.

It's just unfair. Take GS out of the equation ant he stays, 100%. Super teams are ruining the NBA.

Wonder if Boston's still a target. They just picked two combo forwards in Tatum and Ojeleye to go with Jalen Brown from last year, Jae Crowder, and now Yabusele their draft pick from last year is apparently ready to make the roster.

I thought that at first but now there are reports that Paul George would go to Boston if Hayward signs there.

Utah fanbase will be crushed if one of their own leaves. He was perfect for Utah.

Why do you think he stays? Don't a lot of players hate living there?

If he stays it's because we are on the verge of something special and he sees it and wants to be a part of it.
The people who hate living there are the players who love to party but for the ones who don't need that s**t or have families love it.

I've visited SLC and I really liked it. Yea..it's not SF or NYC but it has its own pros. It's a beautiful city and it's not like there is no night life. If all you want to do is - get drunk and party all year...then maybe not the best city for you...but as an NBA player - you can do that from June to end of Sept. and you can do that on the road which is where you play half of the games anyway.

More of a reason for Hayward to sign with Boston if he knows that PG will be going there if he does.

I hear what you're saying and it's definitely easy for me to disagree being a Warriors fan.

I think what would be better for the NBA is if in general teams were run better. I know that's super vague and subjective but teams are out there making bonehead decisions, year in and year out.

Lakers giving Deng and Mosgov $34 million a year? More defendable but Allen Crabbe and Evan Turner making a combined $35 million in Portland? That atrocious Jimmy Butler trade to the Timberwolves? The Knicks, Nets and Magic doing who knows what with their team. 76ers may finally be able to put out an OK team on the court this year if Embiid and Simmons can stay healthy (unlikely).

Are super teams an issue? Sure, I think it impacts the game when it's essentially just waiting for a Warriors Cavs Finals like this season. However, I don't think super teams are going anywhere, but it would be nicer if there were 4-6 teams with a realistic shot at winning than maybe 2-3.

It needs to stop. The MLB, NFL, and NHL all have great surprises each year and offer plenty of parity each year. Meanwhile, basketball is always a lock on who the top teams are and who have a realistic shot at winning. It's like, what's the point of being a fan each and every year if you know a Lebron led team is gonna make it to the Finals and the Spurs or Warriors make it from the West?

This is nothing new. Basketball has been dominated by Dynasties forever. Sure a team or two will win an occasional championship but they're mostly won by dominate teams

What would be your realistic solution to making it stop? I know this season was some what of an extreme but it seems like it's been this way in the NBA for a long time

Go to the NBA FINALS and the Dwight Howard leaves. I feel ya man. Ugh.
