I'm glad this will tarnish Phil's legacy a bit, good manager of egos, but damn the all-time greats he coached made him.
What a joke of a GM/front office guy

I don't think it will tarnish anything. I mean, look at Jordan in Admin or Magic when he coached.

I don't think it will tarnish him as a coach. Magic was a terrible coach, Jordan has been a mediocre owner, Isaiah was an atrociously bad GM, they are all remembered favorably for their exploits as players.

Just goes to show you , Phil needed at least 2 Elite stars, and a strong bench to succeed , I would have loved to have seen him coach a team with less talent, and build a strong team from the ground up , as a front office big wig , Phil hasn't achieved much , drafting Porzingis and Hernangomez were his only coupes as a GM, but he failed miserably and failed to put a competitive team on the floor, and forced that tired old triangle on a team that didn't have the talent to run it properly , he fielded offers for Porzingis which help his demise from the team, and forcing the issue of buying out Carmelo , I could care less about James Dolan's money , but Phil had the Knicks pointed in a direction that would have resulted in new lows

Sources: After Paul informed Clippers he'd sign w/ HOU in FA, teams agreed to deal sending Beverley, Decker, Williams and 2018 FRP for Paul. https://t.co/9Lk9FPEPbu

What a huge trade for Houston. They gave up practically nothing.

That's a huge, one-sided trade. Where's Stern to shut it down?

It's a great fit imho.
His coaches were Vinny and Doc Rivers in LA. Neither asked him pushed pace.
