I highly doubt the Salt Lake fans n ownership will act as classless n butthurt as those in Cle did when LBJ left.

They won't but I'm still pissed and hurt.
Need more star players to move to the east. Unless they want to join the Warriors of course.
Sorry Utah fans. This will mean a big step back for you guys.

Not sure what the new CBA achieved. NBA needs something similar to a franchise tag

OR

Instead of voters deciding who gets the supermax - let the teams decide who they want to give supermax deal.

-----

On the other side - I'm glad Boston got better. Need a team or two that can truly challenge Cavs. Playoffs are no fun when series are not competitive.

You draft the guy, turn him into a super star and he bails...

How are we supposed to do anything? Wtf is the point?

Classless or not I hope nothing but the worse basketball wise.
i don't blame him at all. The Celtics will be the best team in the east in 2019 so he's going to make regular finals appearances from that point on and has a chance to win a ring. He would have never won a ring in Utah. PLus I wouldn't call him a superstar.

I will say that BOS are stuck with two bad contracts, HOrtford and Hayward. They're getting super star money and neither players are superstars. I do think this contract will bite them in the ass.

Not sure why a football fan would trip. Same thing in the NFL when guys deals run out. They go for the money and/or rings.

How can the new CBA take away a persons choice? If they dont want more money n want a different work environment for THEIR own personal advancement, do we not do the same going to better or different jobs? Nothing wrong w that if there is nothing wrong with it for us imo.

I'm pretty much to the point of giving up on sports. I already don't really follow baseball, hockey and football like I used to. The Jazz have been my #1 team for years but this is so deflating. After watching this team slowly work it's way back up to being a winner and then this happens. When we're so close to having something special.

Let down, dashed expectations and hurt I understand. I feel you.

They need some defined system of compensation for when teams lose top level players. A combination of draft picks+cash considerations so the team that loses their star can get something back.

In the NBA one guy leaving a franchise can implode the entire team so it'd be good for them to get something reasonable back to help rebuild.
