I will say that BOS are stuck with two bad contracts, HOrtford and Hayward. They're getting super star money and neither players are superstars. I do think this contract will bite them in the ass.
Celtics will be best team in 2019...
Based on what?
Who else is going to beat them? The Cavs are dismantling next year and no one comes close in the East. Before Hayward, BOS was the heir apparent to the Eastern Conference thrown. With Hayward, they've gotten that much better.

i loved what boston was doing prior to the hortford signing. Now they have his contract as well as Hayward. In addition, they have to get rid of Crowder and maybe one of their young players to make room for Hayward. In addition, they're renounced the RFA status of Olynyk. I thought if they were patient, they could've built a nice, young, team that could have competed for the next 5-6 years with major cap flexibility. They're getting rid of some good young players to make room for an over paid player.

We haven't even started 2017 season...I don't know how you can predict something about 2019 season...

They need some defined system of compensation for when teams lose top level players. A combination of draft picks+cash considerations so the team that loses their star can get something back.
In the NBA one guy leaving a franchise can implode the entire team so it'd be good for them to get something reasonable back to help rebuild.
They definitely need something that gives a player more incentive to stay with their team.

Of course he should have. He would have made a nice 7th or 8th man coming off the bench for the Dubs.

Man, I really wasn't expecting Hayward to get any criticism at all for his decision. But this is looking more and more like KD all over again.

Utah fans are hardcore and passionate. Hes now dead to all Jazz fans. Will get booed heavily the next time he comes to SLC.
Its just frustrating to lose a guy because he was friends with another coach. We offered him the max, a winning situation on the rise, a great area to play in, a spot as the franchise player, etc. But there was nothing we could do about the reason he left.
