2017 NBA Off-Season Thread

I dont see either Brown or Tatum being traded. Not this year anyway. Does it really matter what a guy's height is in todays NBA on whether he can play the 3 or 4? I mean the Dubs have a guy who is about 6'6" playing PF while they have a SF who is close to 7'. I am just saying that its not as clear cut as it was years ago.

I think Hayward will play at the 2 a lot and Brown will move over to the 4 in many of their sets. They will have a super athletic group.

This. NBA is becoming positionless.
Good signing by the Spurs. Gay fits well.
Vince Carter to the Kings!

I just dont understand why Carter would go to Sacramento. Maybe the 159M he has made in his career isnt enough and he needed that 8M this year. I dont know.. when you have zero rings you would think he might want a real opportunity to win one.

Maybe Golden State didn't want him? Maybe he didn't want a bunch of retards calling him a ring chasing coward like they did to Durant?

I think another reason is the playing time. He wants to play he don't want to be at the end of the bench that's what he said on NBA TV. In Kings he get the money and playing time.

Yup sounds like Vince is still a couple years away before he wants to ring chase. Guy still wants to play

And he probably likes the idea of being a part of a team that's been down for so long that's close to turning it around. I really like the idea of him mentoring Justin Jackson. Also familiarity with Joerger and Z-Bo.

There's really only 2 options right now for players that are chasing rings to go to anyways.

Kinda funny though, he was drafted 6 months after De'Aaron Fox was born.

I get that but he isnt going to play 30 minutes a night at 40 years old. I think he could have gotten a role playing 12-15 minutes on a contender instead of maybe 24 on the Kings. But, if it makes him happy then thats truly all that matters.

I think he wanted to put in 20 years in the league, from what I heard.

He just wants to rack up the stats for HOF and All Time considerations.
Nice trade for Pistons.
