when did anybody say the debate was over? do you not know what the word 'hypothetical' means?

stop being defensive. That wasn't directed @ you. Plenty of posters have said that over the last week. Only to retract their statements and say LeBron is def top 5.

If we can agree that in this point in time LeBron is not considered the goat, but is at least a top 5 all time player.. Then I'll stfu which is what you all probably want.

i dont really care. in my opinion, if he pulls this off against the Warriors this year, he's pretty much neck-in-neck with Jordan despite less numbers in particular categories. Just my opinion.

I agree, if LeBron pulls this off he is officially the goatest surpassing Jordan

Also tristan tomson needs too be mentioned for making it to 4 strait finals while carrying lebrun as dead wait. Lebrun had to join his squad to win in Cleveland, couldn't do t before they drafted him. Smh

fixed.

thanks

Yup

Id like to know how many people on the LeBron side of the GOAT argument were born in the mid 90's and don't remember much, if anything about Jordan's career.

after all he's done this post-season, game 7, the constant 40+ points, then beating the warriors with the same team? It doesn't get any more validated than that. even if he has Finals losses and even if he were to have 2 less rings. you just cant ignore the insurmountable circumstances and still look the other way

I feel like that is what LeBron fans do when talking about the complete opposite of insurmountable circumstances that he faces every year in the EC playoffs though.

Like, you cant give Bron a pass for all the Finals losses to better teams and also prop him up for getting there.....considering he plays nothing but trash or mediocre teams on his way to the Finals every year.

that's just nit-picking.

Yeah, but that is what it comes down to when you are discussing who is the #1 versus #2 player of all time. You have to deeply analyze everything, where it may seem like nit picking. But those small details are what sets the two apart.

Back to Durant. What would it take for him or curry to enter the top 10 all time players debate? I think curry is already the best all time shooter, if he wins 3-4 championships, he's gotta be at least top 15, maybe top 10. Same with durant

bump

I was going to make the same post about jr smith. He's been carrying lebrun for 4 strait years to the finals. Jr probably the best contested shoooter of all time and a pure playmaker on his own unlike Lebrun who is selfish and doesn't even try on defense !!.

Like I said earlier, if the calves win this series JR has surpassed Jordan
