Again, the injury card cannot be played with Chris Paul if you cant acknowledge Andre. I know player for player, its not the same loss....but that is completely irrelevant to the point.

Like I said, you cant say the Rockets would have won the series if Chris Paul didnt get hurt in game 5, because no Andre injury, Paul gets hurt in the final minute of his season. There is no game 6. So the idea that we lose to a healthy Chris Paul led Rockets is stupid because that is only maybe the case if Andre doesnt get hurt too.

The series was 2-1 with Iggy. Hardly over with. Even if GS takes game 4 it still goes back to Hou then they got 1 last chance to steal 1 in GS.

They did lose him though, lost control of the series, and then were bailed out by a much more impactful injury.

He's the Warrior's real MVP:

Warrior player rankings:

1. Iggy
2. Green
3. Curry
4. Thompson
5. Durant
All this Warrior/Cav/Rockets talks is interesting but it really doesn't belong in this thread.

Hate to be a buzz kill but...I am.

This conversation happened organically. Someone talked about how MJ never had to face the quality of teams Bron had to face in the Finals. Then it was Bron never had to face the quality of playoff opponents in general that MJ did. Then it was Bron could cement his legacy as the GOAT if he beat the Warriors. Then it was the Warriors arent unbeatable as they would have lost to the Rockets if CP didnt get hurt. Then I brought up Iguodala and it started to spiral from there.

I know you arent accusing anyone of intentionally derailing this thread, and I agree that topics need to be stayed on within a thread. Just pointing out that this talk came up within the flow of the conversation of MJ vs. Bron. It wasnt just out of the blue.

Lynbrook here.
MJ at his peak was slightly better than James at his peak mostly because of his absurd endurance which allowed him to spend more energy on defense (Lebron has gotten older and lost some of his energy, but I don't think he ever competed as hard on both ends of the floor and Jordan has a huge edge in defensive accolades).

Having said that, James is going to go down as the GOAT because longevity matters.

I guess. If you can look past his shortcomings
Today was a goat like performance in a loss. No matter how this series goes down I'd hold back on the shade. He's obviously outgunned.
