In my opinion, next year would be a down year and then they will come back strong once they are done with Iggy and Shauns deal and can really go after some big time help. Maybe even..... yes AD. Lets say they decide to not resign Draymond and have those expired deals of Iggy and Shaun I mentioned. They could add AD to go with the Splash Brothers. Kind of fun to speculate anyway.
This makes me sick saying it, but if we want to get AD in 2020, we need to hope the Lakers sign another marquee player or two so that they don't have room for him. That would eliminate our main competition for him.
I've always thought if KD left, we might go after AD. The problem is AD is going to be the only big FA in 2020. It's nothing like this offseason.
