Yeah that's what I sense as well. He keep on saying on his interview he won't take a paycut anymore. The only way to get his max salary is if he signs back to the Warriors or a sign and trade. I don't mind getting RJ Barrett back as part of the deal
which I doubt would happen.

Why would he do that? He can go anywhere he wants and he doesn't want to weaken a team he is going to.

Max value in a contract. We can use bird rights to sign him to a super max. The other teams can't.
