Kerr was outcoached.

What should he have done different to get the Warriors the win tonight? I mean other than have the team shoot better and not turn the ball over so much?

Why didn't he use Bogut or Cousins more when Gasol was in. These guys could have at least help slowing him down a bit. We got beat basically by Gasol and Siakom if you ask me. I am not an expert and don't pretend to be one. But if you have two all stars sitting on the bench and Gasol is torching us, at least use one of them. maybe I am wrong, but that's what I think.
Both Cousins and Bogut are liabilities on the defensive end when guarding the pick and roll and defending 3s. Plus, do you really think Cousins was ready to log big minutes after being out so long. He was breathing hard in the limited minutes he did play.
Nurse gambled that Gasol would be able to run the court and be mobile enough to defend the pick and roll against GSW death lineup and he won that bet big time tonight.

Siakam had a big game, that was the difference.

We need to start Bogut over Bell next game. Draymond needs to lock down Siakam he just got owned today. Klay needs to make shots. One thing they need to take advantage off is when Raptors play both Vanfleet and Lowry two small guys on the floor.

At times they had up to 3 guys up on curry, someone else is going to need to pick up the scoring. That's where missing KD is monumental, Klay needs to be a consistent scorer and guys like iggy with open 3's needs to hit them.

They both could have slowed Gasol much better than the smaller Bell or Looney. I disagree with Bogut being a defensive liability. I think we lost because we were not prepared to defend Siakam or Gasol and that's on Kerr and the coaches. Klay had a terrible game and no one could score except for Steph. Having said that, I think game two will be different.
That iggy injury is troubling

Because Steph is your only guy who can get his own shot. Van Vleet has been scorching since the last round and with him, Lowry, Siakam and Kawhi, Toronto has a few more guys who can create something on their own. Gasol is still a tremendous passer and he can find Siakam on cuts and in space all day.
Damn, really thought with the frickin month off they had Warriors would come out with laser focus, Raptors would wilt in their first ever Finals game, and Warriors would take Game 1. Man was I wrong, what a terrible all-around performance, very disappointing.

The Warriors thrive off fueling runs with their defense, but they never could get that going tonight...and the few times they looked like they were about to go on a little run, then it's a bad shot or TO, points the the other way. If the Raptors can keep forcing the Warriors into halfcourt sets, it's going to be very tough without Durant, can't count on Cousins doing much. Get well soon, KD.

Green defends so well in space and the last couple of rounds Kerr has been able to rely on Green reacting quickly/reading the play and negating the effect of the big men for the most part. Problem is against a guy who has length and speed like Siakam and a player with the size, passing ability and basketball IQ of Gasol, Green cannot expoit both of them.

Starting bell was Kerr's first mistake tonight.

Good point.
