Has bob Myers done anything for this franchise without Jerry west? Didn't he want to trade Klay but Jerry west stopped him?
I think bobby wanted to trade Klay and Draymond for Kevin love at one point.

I am with you on this. It's not looking good anymore. I think letting West and Schlenk go was a huge mistake. having said that, I am not sure if they had any control over their departure.
How did they let Schlenk go? He wasnt going to take Myers job obviously and he had a chance to be GM in Atlanta.
West?

Exactly this!!!
Yes, I agree. And I find myself actually looking forward to the Warriors not being the 'super villain' team that every team has in their cross hairs. They will be able to play free and easy next year, given the lower expectations. There is a certain freedom in being the hunter and not the hunted.
Next year there will be some free cap space and the $17.3 million trade exception. In addition we will not be limited by the hard cap.

go ahead and sleep on us. we still have shooters for days. Stein at Center lets Looney kick back to PF and we got Steph, Dlo and Dray as the 1,2,3 til Klay comes back. DLO can handle the ball but I hope they make sure to let him know his place. Steph and Dray should be the ball stoppers. worried about too many PGs on the team but I think its better than not having enough. we are still a top 5 team on the west. we have chemistry. all of these new teams may not be as good as they are on paper.

They will undoubtedly get a higher draft pick in the first round next year too.

Seriously, Myers made magic happen getting Looney and WCS for 7 mill total. And he added a 23 year old all star who hasn't probably hasn't peaked yet and will be an incredible asset even if he doesn't fit in and they decide not to keep him.
He was superb this off season

I think they finish ~ 6th in the west just because they don't have Klay till probably February.
Clippers, Lakers, Utah obviously have improved drastically

If Dubs get in the playoffs and Klay doesn't look rusty then the fun will start. I won't count them out because their championship pedigree but a scoring trio of Steph, Klay and Dlo and Dray being the glue is nothing to sleep on in the playoffs. Even tho I like the depth of the Lakers and Clips better

I also think he did a great job maximizing the cap space for the exception of Glen Robinson I like all of his signing. I still think he can't draft for sh!t.
On another subject according to Ramon Shelbourne Warriors offered Caruso a contract but chose the Lakers instead. Why are we signing another PG? We have Evans, DLo and Curry. The team is already small enough. If that's the case Warriors should take a look at Avery Bradley great wing defender and can hit a 3.

I actually like both his 2nd rd picks this year. I also think signing Ky Bowman to a 2 way could be a nice catch. I am not wild about Poole but I will reserve judgement until he plays a few months. But in reality, picking last every year isnt going to get you stars. He did hit a homerun though when he drafted Draymond in the 2nd rd. Not many GMs can say they drafted such a great player in the 2nd.
